Massive UNSC Forward Unto Dawn

    Forge Hub has logged me out twice after I finish writing my post. It's really annoying because I then have to retype everything and get all the picture links again. Anyway, this is my first map in Halo Reach. I found Halo 3's Forge really annoying, but I wanted to make a frigate map. I finally got this one done an wanted to post it. It's not playable at the moment, there's about $500 left if you want to edit it for asymmetrical gametypes. Just give me credit please.

    I put two hangars on either side of the main cannon like on the actual frigates.

    Inside, at the top of the cargo section you'll find the red team initial spawns.

    Up from there you reach the main deck, which leads to every other section of the ship,
    including the bridge area.

    Go ahead and make a playable variant of this map. I wanted to but I don't have the patience. I thought I'd post this map under aesthetics rather than let it sit on my hard drive ignored. Enjoy it and if you make a good playable version, definitely post it here, just make sure to give me some credit for the original map. I marked this post with the gametypes I would like to see playable. Thanks for looking.

    LOOKS GREAT! i like the cargo bay and all the details..... you seemed like a skilked forger. i get parties of 10-16 people ALOT so ill put a gametype to it and play in custom games.

    BTW, how do you post your map onto forgehub?

    JK Just go to the forums and look under Halo Reach. Then go to Halo: Reach Custom Content. Make sure you read ALL the rules.

    Back to the map, is there a way you could possibly make it so it could be played on? It looks great, but if players could play some sort of gametype or even Slayer it would be awsome.

    Pretty nice. It is HUGE like you said, but not all maps can be perfect. Let's review.

    Now the size is enormous. +10 for that.
    It really looks like a frigate but it has a few drawbacks.
    1. The wings are simply too big. And they look like just a bunch of platforms put together.
    2. The extension over the cargo bay. I know due to budget restraints you couldn't put drop pods. But, why the enormous opening at the end?
    3. The Bridge should have a relay dish facing the back of the ship.

    Eventually I will be making this playable for Invasion and other asymmetrical gametypes, it's just going to be a while because I'm bored so I wanted to put this here as a sort of aesthetic map for now.

    CAMDA1, by "wings" do you mean the engines made of XXL platforms, because yeah they do look weird. I left the back of the extension over the cargo area open as another landing pad. I know I said this was the Forward Unto Dawn, but it's not meant to be totally exact. I just like that as another landing bay with a machine gun for defense. And I put a small antenna where the rear-facing dish should be, I'll try to make it more accurate in the next version.

    Also, take a look inside and tell me what you think. Some parts are cool but other parts aren't that great. I'd appreciate any criticism or advice.

    Yeah. The jets. Jets on frigates usually are not below the cargo area. That's the "wings" area I am talking about.

    Does this help?

    My suggestions:
    Put a little more detail to the wings and scale them down. And, if possible, add a relay dish to the bridge.

    for a relay dish maybe you could use a tele frame at 30 degrees, anyway its is a good map i think otherwise

    Very nice ship in general, it looks like the rooms fit together well.

    I really like the command tower. I'm having trouble getting mine to look right, maybe this'll help.

    To add more to my post, it seems like the hanger is out of proportion with the rest of the ship. Perhaps make it larger. The engines also need some changes, you can use the same pieces, just arrange them differently.
