Would having objects disappear after a certain phase in invasion make framerate issues decrease?

It's not that I'm having any framerate issues right now it's just that I want to know in case I do sometime.

    Thanks.

It would decrease framerate lag because framerate lag is caused by too many objects on screen, and this would reduce this number.

Although despawning objects in Invasion would reduce framerate lag, you also need to consider that you are effectively deleting your map as the game progresses. First, this can threaten the players' suspension of disbelief; in the real world, all of the features of a place don't disappear once something like capturing a territory occurs. Second, this will also force your map into becoming three separate maps instead of a cohesive whole; just because one tier is over doesn't mean that half the map can be wiped clean.

Another point: after one tier, it's likely that the players are not going to pay much attention to the area of the first tier. Therefore, they won't be looking at objects that will need to be rendered, so framerate is unlikely to suffer.

However, if you do plan on doing this, limit it to deleting things that would make sense to disappear.

If you need any tips for making an invasion map, try referring to the "Invasion: Conceptualization" link in my sig.

I didn't get the impression that he was planning on deleting half his map, just that he might remove some of the things which aren't necessary anymore to reduce lag. It could keep the suspension of disbelief if the map progresses, so you can see what is behind you but have no purpose in going there. If he just removed details, then it should work

I also doubt he was planning on deleting half his map after tier 1, but I was trying to urge him not to neglect the tier 1 area after the 1st tier like many other map creators. Just because one tier of the game is over doesn't mean the 1st-tier area should be changed or deleted. Like in Spire and Boneyard, the 1st-tier area should be used as a pathway for vehicles to use to reach the rest of the battlefield. True, the areas of those maps won't be fought over or played in much after tier 1, but they aren't completely scrapped. You should still feel like you're playing on the same map.
