KANAVA DISTRICT Big Team Battle 8-16 players by thesilencebroken & Titmar Kanava District is a co-forge between Titmar and myself, taking place in an entirely enclosed custom built location above the water. The map is very large for an enclosed map, and can handle full size parties, while not alienating the standard 4v4 match crowds. We have taken the idea of big team battle and a large complex and flowing environment and turned them into an infantry-friendly existence. There are vehicles on the map, and they are useful, but the gameplay will never solely focus on them. Also something rarely captured in a map as complex as this, is the non-existence of frame rate drops. Anywhere you are on the map will look just as good. There is no lagging. We'll begin testing soon! YouTube - Forgehub.com presents: KANAVA DISTRICT
I'd really love to get in one of the testing sessions. This seems like an interesting twist on BTB seeing as most include wide, open terrain. I didn't even think it was a BTB map simply because: a.) it's so different looking, I figured it was a 4v4. b.) I'm a dumbass and didn't see 8-16 players at the top. Seriously, invite me for testing if I'm online.
nice dude. i only suggest fixing those rocks jutting out of the floor... But its still a awsome map!!!
This is such a big step forward for BTB maps. Never before have I seen a fully enclosed BTB map as wonderfully forged as this. If you guys are short on testers look me up, looks great guys.
Would love to test this as well, I love BTB maps. I'm ok with close quarters maps but I function better when I don't have 4 people shooting me from angles I don't control. BTB maps I control the angles people see me from the majority of the time and from the looks of this map this looks like the kind of map I could succeed in.
Entirely what we were aiming for. I'll invite you when we need ya! I'll be the first to admit that the rocks may look a little random coming out of something other than grass and dirt, but we're out of budget, and I took functionality over aesthetics for that. The rocks serve as decent cover and break up the grey look a little. Thank you! We really wanted to capture a different style of gameplay that forged maps just don't do well. The map has a very good flow, and no where on the map leads to a dead end. Everything is connected and I think people will be inspired by the direction we've taken. I'll look you up when we're testing, we'll probably need all the help we can get. Indeed, I am also more of a close ranged person and hate being fired upon when I have no idea where anyone is. This map will cater to every single play style at once. Short range, DMR range, Snipers, Swat, Slayer, Objective, Vehicles, anything. You're on all the time, so I'll invite you. Indeed. Urban Walnuttz. I'll send you an invite if you're on. Probably starting tomorrow and most of the rest of the week.
Wow, this supports BTB? That's amazing. Its good to see the aesthetics of Reach being used to its potential. I cant say much about gameplay(obviously), but it looks gorgeous. Send me an invite when your testing; I'm on your Friends List, Titmar.
Very, very nice map, tested today with you, I do have to say btb was slightly hectic, and the stockpile issue was kinda funny how long it took to figure out but othr than that I like it very much. One flag was pretty easy for the attackers to get the flag though... so maybe switching the sides might help that (change what is attackers side to be the defense)
I had to get off right when y'all started testing this! I remember you showing me this a few weeks back, curious to see how it turned out. Make room or me in the next session
yeah, the map can handle all 16 people, but it's not quite comfortable. We recommend 10-12 for best results.
We are still going to be doing more testing, but the first sessions were successful enough to us that its small fixes and changes from here. So i finished up the video. YouTube - Forgehub.com presents: KANAVA DISTRICT
