Rook This map is a symmetrical map that is good for team slayer and oddball; The pictures below show v2.5 v2.6 is the finished product The map has some key elements that are displayed here. The map has the feel of a moving on a chess board as a rook mostly forward, backward and side, to side. The map's outer paths represent the starting path of the rook and the middle represents if you have not moved the king switching it for the rook. Major improvement from the original you showed me first. Was fun playing on this today. A bit small for 4v4 and a bit over abundant on power weapons, but well forged no doubt. Very clean and simplistic. I liked it.
Thanks And I tried to cut down on power weapons, but map has variety of setting areas and with the odd ball spawn it was hard to try and keep balance with only one sniper so I kept the two and put them in a close range environment (New) on the bridge so that they would render useless until you got further away.Not only that but I took the shotguns out, and made the rocket launcher spawn in only team games and the sword only spawn in free-for-all games.
Well, I feel honored to have a map named after me. XP I like castles and rooks, so you've got a Dl, but I'm not so sure how the mongeese will fare on the map.
Yea the mongoose is a risky choice, but it gets you across map quick and can take out people on outer bridge that may be trying to camp there....map not initially named after you though haha Happy Forging, Dart3rocks
I think this map looks like a blast, but the goose just looks underpowered, i think swapping that for a ghost would give the driver a chance seing as there are a lot of power wepons and the goose is unarmed
thanks, it is, though I am trying to cut power weapons down, on vr2.7 and cut the mongoose, but I might make a vr2.7a and a 2.7b <----random enjoyment with ghost and power weapons.
This map plays and feels very nice. I like the layout and uses of elevation. Did you by chance use all of your budget because if not you should add more to the walls as they look a bit plain but other than that the gameplay is great. Good use of weaponry as well. I like how you made the sword only in ffa and rockets only in team. That was a good choice.
