    DMR Vendor

Welcome to the first vending machine on Reach. This switch was very simple and easy to make once I had the idea on how it would function. Check out the pics, they'll guide you through how to use it and how I made it.

The vending machine. Simply walk into the fusion coil and a DMR will dispense in seconds. It is recommended that you play this in forge so you can keep on getting DMRs and not have to wait on their respawn

Once you push the fusion coil in, it lifts up to the wall and blows up, causing a chain reaction with other ones, once the last one is blown up, the DMR resting on it will fall.

The DMR falls into the man cannon...

    Sending it to your feet

This is a very simple switch to recreate. I'm sure it could be used with various types of maps. So check it out and see what you think.

Great man. You could make a map featuring this switch.

Nice map. Could you post a video on how to make the switch?

I would but my five minute video render limit wouldn't be enough time for me to go through a step-by-step build of the switch. I will definitely try to make a more effective guide on how to build this, though.

Also, expect a random weapon box soon.

just deforged your machine to see how much it takes to make one. it takes exactly 2,000 forge budget dollars to make one a vendor

I could prolly cut 1/4 of that down. There is some random stuff that I couldve made more cost effective

A random weapon box? Sounds interesting. Maybe you can do the same with vehicles.

    Streamlined Version.

So I loved your idea of a weapon dispenser but I didn't like the idea of spending 2k on it, or it taking up so much room/valuable resources, so I tinkered around and I have made a dispenser with a mine switch that only uses 8 pieces and costs around 400 (and thats with a couple of unnecessary decorative pieces). I also managed to make the dispenser so that every piece was lined up with a specific coordinate making it very easy to reproduce quickly.
I also screwed around and made a mongoose dispenser which uses a bit more of the budget, but works rather nicely. I'm still tinkering with it and trying to cut down on price (currently about 1200) Its 2 am where I am at the moment so I will probably post them up tomorrow some time and Ill link to it here, but as I just signed up i wanted to make a post tonight... ha.

good switch this could definetly be used in a map so how much of the budget did you use to make this? btw this isn't the first vending machine in reach i am pretty sure there was a random weapon generator in reach made before this

Its creative and functions better than most but that is because it is dispensing only 1 weapon. Most people would want a random box (like in **** zombies) for infection maps and other things. And I also saw the exact same method except multiple weapons fall with the use of gravity. That's what a lot of people might like. But good start... Cut the cost though maybe...

People asking about V2's and ones that use less of the budget might be interested in looking at the ones I just posted. (as stated in my discription, credit goes to the OP of this thread for the idea)

Its a dispenser that uses 8 pieces, can dispence many weapons at once and only costs 430 (or 660 for 2 made next to each other). The map it is housed on also features 2 variations on a mongoose dispenser. :)

This was a vary nifty idea. If the weapons could be deposited faster then it would make a really cool feature to have in an infection map (of course it would only work if the humans had weapon pickup enabled).
