I tried to fix that but there seems to be some kind of an imaginary barrier there, grenades even bounce off it... I was simply going to cover it up but ran short of money...
Once you put MLG into the map name, you pretty much remove all possibilities for creativity IMO. Apparently pro gamers don't care if their maps are revolutionary, as long as the gameplay if fair and the construction is clean. Name one MLG map that's different from this and I'll take it back. As for the map itself, it's definitely one of the best MLG maps I've seen. Interlocking/merging is perfect, looks like you spent a lot of time lining everything up. My one complaint might be that the bottom level looks a little barren, try putting a bit more cover down there if you've got money left.
Only one complaint..the areas in between the bases and main areas are really empty, like a death trap to try and get to other places. Add more cover in those places!
You forget that MLG-style play uses increased player speed, which helps for open situations like this. If you keep to the edges and don't run right down the middle of the open areas, you can use the map's geometry for cover.
I think someone gave it a one star about eight votes in, it dropped from five and hasn't gone back up yet...
there we go, back up to five stars, and wii there isn't much budget left so you couldn't do anything major.
Like Ivory said there's only a dollar left on the budget... But honestly I don't care if you play with the weapon set or change minor details as long as you don't change the name or try to pass it as your own...
ok i know everyone has posted something about the sword and i can tell you this. MLG dont use the sword, well not until bungie has fixed its lung. IMO there are too many grenades and this will result in grenade spamming, maybe just take a few out. but otherwise this is a very solid map and i worth 4/5
I get it, I really don't need any more sword criticism... BTW, Isn't there a sword in your MLG map? Kinda hypocritical if you ask me... I don't think there are too many nades but I'll take that into consideration when I make a V2...
I love this map. But this is driving me crazy it reminds me of a map for halo 2 but i can't think of what map?!?!?!
Wow this is the best MLG map ever. It definitely gives me the whole experience. And the bases are perfect for MLG, because the flags are usually raised. Also, i dont know how the energy sword will play out because power weapons arent really for MLG. MLG is really for equal playing fields. But this map looks sick. Great job. 5/5
no i wasnt being hypocritical i found out for myself that there MLG dont use swords yet. in my V1.5 of my MLG map i have changed it to something else. but still think this map is well suited for MLG and the man cannon works well
Thanks, sorry for jumping the gun there... I knew when I built the map that MLG doesn't use the sword, I just preferred it over the mauler and I like how it's played out so far dispite some criticism...
nice, no sw0rd pl0x.. replace with mauler or something... i hate swords.. thats the reason why i play mlg to get away from shottys and swords and all that noob st000fz
yeah i know what you mean, when i had the sword on mine it worked really well but i now have changed it to a custom powerup. you should give it a go with maybe a custom power up or a active camo. either way your map is very nice
