I'm having an issue with invasion that isn't covered in any invasion guides i've found.
i have a one-way shield gate. i DO NOT want it to appear until the 3rd phase of the game. is that possible?
in other words, i need the opposite of the typical invasion gate.
    if anyone can help, thanks.

Have you tried setting it to "invasion weapon" or "Invasion man cannon" yet? I know those two spawn later, but I think they might work for a one way.

Phased objects appear spawn in one phase and remain until the end of the game. Use it like that.

I only have one limited solution:
You need two sets of these one way shield doors. For example, you want shield door A to spawn in phase 3. Spawn another shield door (we'll call it shield door B, or SDB for future reference) and change its settings to:
    spawn at start: YES
    spawn sequence: 3
    gametype: INV_GATES

This will make it de-spawn at phase 3 (I believe. Maybe the spawn sequence should be changed to 2). Place this shield door out of the map, its placement is irrelevant. Take SDA and place it where you want in the map. Set it to not respawn until 180 seconds. Now set the max/min to 1.

That way when phase 3 begins, SDB will despawn, and the min/max settings will make SDA spawn. Of course, this idea is limited because the whole invasion game will have to play out in less than 3 minutes. Perhaps a more realistic solution is to make the shield door spawn in phase 2 instead of 3.

Well "Gates" are things you want to Destroy, Set it as "Weapon" or "Vehicle" they are things you want to spawn.

And to spawn it in phase 3 set it to "Spawn sequence" 2 ,(0=phase1,1=phase2,2=phase3)

Exactly this. Anything set to a spawn sequence and labled as INV_GATE will disappear after that sequence. Anything set to a spawn sequence and labled as INV_VEHICLE will appear once it's sequence has been reached. To fix your problem lable your gate as INV_VEHICLE and set it as spawn sequence 3.

Don't listen to this. While it would work, labeling the orignial gate as INV_VEHICLE will do the trick without having to waste an extra one way shield door.

I'm pretty sure only vehicles and weapons can be set to INV_VEHICLE and INV_WEAPON. I will double check, but last I saw (and tried), you can't give structures the label INV_WEAPON or VEHICLE.

You can give anything the INV_VEHICLE label.

Any object can have the INV_VEHICLE or INV_WEAPON labels, the only difference is that the vehicle shows a waypoint upon spawning into the game. Both these labels cause the object to begin spawning in the round determined by the spawn sequence.

Any object can also have the INV_GATE label which will cause it to despawn after the round determined by the spawn sequence.

Your problem here, which I don't think anyone has noticed yet, is that your object is probably set to a spawn time of never. Items that spawn after a given phase will not appear in the game, but rather have to spawn in so with a spawn time of never, they will spawn in. To fix this, set the spawn time to 1. It's also possible that the run-time min is too high which will force spawn those objects on the map. To change this, click [X] while looking at the object and select advanced.

The INV_MANCANNON label is specific to the spire mancannons that spawn in the third round of invasion. They have no effect so don't use them.

If know one else's tips help here is a tutorial on the invasion game type it's a 2 part tut YouTube - Reach Forge Tutorials Ep 3: Invasion Part 1/2 - I found this helped when other's input didn't help me. It also covers de-spawning and phase spawning. You should really give it a look. NOT My TUT(I think riftegifle has a profile on here as well)

    It works. :D

I guess I wasn't putting spawn timers on the objects. Oh well, I learned something new!
