MLG Explosion

    Gametypes: MLG CTF, MLG Slayer
    Players: 2-8

    My first map since Halo 3. This is the old Apocalypse2695. New gamertag:v Reflex II
    This is an MLG map made inside the coliseum. This might sound a bit unrealistic to some considering the advances in forging in Reach, but the map took me 40 hours to make. I have about 7 different versions, no exaggeration, I just play tested them with a couple of friends and updated them, I never posted any. This was my first idea to forge also in Reach so I had to get used to the new controls, hence the elongated time taken to create the map. Most of the time was testing different things out and spending weeks thinking of the best possible setup.

    The Setup: Explosion has the typical MLG setup of two symmetrical bases with side bases for control. Each base has two jump-ups to them that are very difficult, but a huge advantage in CTF-similar to Halo 3's Onslaught. The side bases are yellow and white. Whit has the highest elevation of the map with little cover as you'll see. It has a bottom, mid, and top control points. Yellow has a bottom, mid, and top also, the bottom is large and towards the center of the map for dominance so top yellow is small. Each side base include 2 plasma and 2 frag grenades. The side bases are connected by a flat bride that runs across the center of the map. The center bridge has a unique structure, also. The are various jump-ups on the map to allow dominance and shortcuts, they are all very difficult. The map is surrounded by an outer layer of a mid-level walkway. Enough with the word description... here are some pictures.

    NOTE: I have the actual MLG gametype, but since I am not getting Bungie Pro (24 fileshare slots) I don't want to waste any. JUST CHOOSE CLASSIC SLAYER AND CHANGE SCORE TO WIN TO 50 AND PRIMARY WEAPON AS DMR. Those are the only two changes, didn't want to have to post a gametype on my fileshare for that.

    hey dude, ill give it a DL and ill run some customs on it tonight with my party that loves me so much.

    from the pictures, it seems a little open? and there doesnt look like much cover from someone shooting down at someone from a top position. The bases seem iffy and the LoS look crazy. One issue i might have is your center structure. Althought the column arch thing you built looks really nice, those little things are known to cause framerate issues. So once again, ill post in this thread again or ill just edit this one.

    It was meant to be fairly open so the team with the dominant DMR skills should win, no running and hiding, that's what MLG is about. But I get where you're coming from. And what exactly is a framerate issue... Thx for the feedback

    its when you go to look around and your screen becomes very laggy, objects start to flash brighter colors, and its not not family friendly.

    like in halo 3, when there where too many objects... if so, I can make a more plain one.

    yes exactly like that but id say dont worry about it until tests are made.
