Painkiller Bridge HC Creator: smm2010 Track Name: Painkiller Bridge HC Map Name: Forge World Recommended Gametype: Hardcore Racing Description: Over at halotracks.org, a racing variant by the name of Hardcore Racing was established around the summer of 2009. The idea of Hardcore track was simple. They had to be skytracks built in the skybubble on Sandbox, but with a twist: each Hardcore track had to have some traps and obstacles to avoid. You only had one life, so if you fell off, you had to wait until there was one last man standing or if someone successfully completed 5 laps on the track. Three rounds to score as many points as you can. For Halo: Reach, the Hardcore rules still stay the same way. But with Reach, if you fell off the track and died, you can spectate the track from different areas with the help of Death Cameras, unlike Halo 3 where you had to stare at the floor of Sandbox for the rest of the race. The normal Race gametype is not recommended for Hardcore Tracks because of the Death Cams (they act as checkpoints if you try to respawn on them). Because of that, I strongly recommend you use the Hardcore Racing game variant and play with at least two people in order for the gametype to work properly. Painkiller Bridge HC is the more aggressive brother of the original map, Painkiller Bridge. The Hardcore version of this map has many traps and obstacles you need to maneuver around in order to be the most successful racer. I won't get into too much detail about each trap. Figuring them out for yourself makes it more fun. Are you hardcore enough for this? I played this ages ago with a friend. I loved Painkiller bridge, and this Hardcore version was such a *****. In a good way, of course. Each turn was unique, and dangerous. I especially liked the man-cannons that sent you plummeting to your death. Scary as hell first time I got caught in one of those. The final 2 fusion coils proved to be formidable, too. The amount of times I hti them and fell to my untimely demise due to lack of speed. >.< In short, I might have raged at Painkiller Bridge HC, but it was brilliant fun.
This map looks great I love the Idea of hardcore racing a challenge but still a race Im Downloading I edit later when I can play it.
