Hey Forgers! This is my first map posted on Forgehub, Apocalypse I. It is a racetrack with long straights, some tight, some wide corners, a tunnel, a wall ride and a very cool finishing straight. it is meant to be for fun but if you want to go competitive, go ahead This is my first map so please could i have some feedback and anything that needs improving. thanks. Now for some screenshots: Overviews: Now for some Action shots: Thanks again and enjoy Smithy318
Hey from the pictures quite alot of the track looks flat even though they are meant to be long straights ,but it looks smooth .. i think you could add some colour too like in the tunnel. Also is the wall ride part of the track smooth and work fine everytime? I like some of the aesthetic parts too like the starting point and in the last picture there are quite a few dishes which we cant see in.. so is that smooth because it looks like it could have some sharp corners? Could you please add a video? because race tracks are very hard to judge just by pictures , and a video shows the real smoothness of the map and all the banks etc. and congratulations on your first post \o/.
looks very clean, you know how to pay attention to detail. I haven't tried it yet, but it does look a little bland from the pictures. I would recommend working on adding jumps and maybe some banked or off-cambered turns to your next track so it has some variety. Still, for a first track its not too shabby.
thanks for the feedback. i know the track looks a bit bland and it's not very fun to ride on but i can't do banked turns and for the jumps i didn't really think about putting any in I'm going to do a V2 probably next year and i will try to add these things into it. Also, i was going to do a video but I don'y know how to do that (total noob at Forgehub ) when i do the second Apocalypse track i will add a video of it
you have to first record the video via theater in reach, put it on your file share, go to bungie.net (sign up if you haven't already, u will need to to get the video) select the video from your file share and click "Render video" of course you will have to pay about $4.99 but its worth it.
I like the extra details around the track like tunnels and covers, but since the top speed of the Mongoose is fairly slow, I think the track would be too.
