    Fruity - 1v1
"Would you like to share that orange, ma'am?

I know, I know, this map has already been posted here... But I wanted it to be posted with these maps in a "1v1 map pack." This map is my first that isn't entirely enclosed, and in my opinion it plays the best of all my 1v1 maps. It is my first REAL attempt at a 1v1, too. Also, this map, as the other two are, is symmetrical.

    Here are some more pictures...

    HD - 1v1
    "Look, Mommy! I'm on TV!

HD is the first map I ever completed in Reach, but I never released it. It is pretty small, so when I decided to do this "1v1 map pack," I saw the perfect opportunity to change it into a 1v1 map and release it! It's supposed to look like an honest-to-god futuristic battle arena. With "wires," and "cords," making it look like your being recorded, on TV. Again, this map is symmetrical.

    Here are some more pictures...

View of the top. It is only accessable by four lifts, two from bottom and two from mid. The downside being that there is only one exit.

    Another view of the bottom.

    Savior - 1v1
"Can you find it in your heart?"

Savior actually came from a description I wanted to use. That's right, a DESCRIPTION! Crazy right? I went from "Can you find it in your heart?" to Savior, a map name that went with it, to a crown, which is what the centerpiece is supposed to look like. Then I built it around that. And as said above twice now, this map is symmetrical.

And here are some more screenshots...

    One of the top hallways.

View of bottom mid. There are two jumps from here to the garden in the middle, then up to top mid.

Any comments? Ideas? Anyone who wants to test?

Just to let anyone know: These maps are all finished, except for some minor tweaks with spawns and weapons, possibly. So watch out for them in the Tester's Guild and Reach Competitive Maps! Also, the gametype they are to be played with is in my File Share.

Your forging skills are amazing. I love Savior, the look and the feel :) It's the small things you do that make the maps explode with creativity.

Im going to start off on a more negative note. I dont like HD from what I can see. The map looks pretty clean, and if each area in the pictures are connected in the ways I think they are, the gameplay should be fine. However, the map just looks bland and Im not a huge fan of the green lighting.

Fruity looks fantastic. Its amazingly well forged, and the centre piece is aesthetically incredible. The multiple levels make it interesting, and gameplay wise, as long as the spawns were decent, it could be a fantastic 2v2 map, albeit it being built solely for 1v1. The map layout is great and theres no lack of cover or any other common problems you see with smaller maps these days.

Savior is the best aesthetically. Its a beautiful and well forged map, and the central natural look is great. The only gripe I would have is that the pictures dont really describe enough of the layout of the map, so I cant give much feedback on it.

All in all, Im looking forward to the release.

Thanks a lot :) That's probably the best compliment I've gotten on Forgehub. Savior is my favorite looking as well, but doesn't play quite as well as Fruity, IMO. Anyways thanks a lot!

Thanks for the full review of the pictures.

HD has a chance of being replaced, depending on how long it takes me to finish the next map. However it plays quite well, although it may not seem like it would.

Fruity, as all of these maps are, is set up for 2v2 as well as 1v1. The gameplay is very good as well, very even. The weapon layout was thought-out hard for a long period of time. I wanted snipers on both elbows, but you would be able to run, both get snipes, then headshot each other, so I placed grenade launcher at start, then snipers spawn 120 sec. into the game, in the exact same spot, but the grenade launcher never respawns.

To describe Savior, it is a big square with two levels, then the middle with a bridge over it, which connects to the second floor in two spots. Its quite a simple layout, really.

With all that said, I think the next one will top all of them in every category, so watch for that as well. :)
