I've noticed some talk about running into something saying "Can't place item. Too many on map." Now, this won't do. I need some help on trying to get around this. I know that you can delete objects to place more, but I can't delete any more objects. Does anyone know how to get around this problem? Also, I've already saved my map, so the just quit and restart thing wont work. Thanks for the help!
Ummm... I am pretty sure there is a break item limit glitch, so look it up like on google. Other than that, you really shouldn't be making a map with that many objects because that means you probably have too many. Also, there was no excuse for the double post, it may occassionally happen by accident, but knowingly breaking the rules is a big no.
Well, I wouldn't of had to double post if someone would of answered earlier, and seeing that by the time I posted this was on the second page. I'm sorry if I'm acting like a jerk, but I really needed an answer. Thanks for helping me...
Lol, you said Blam. That so Bungie Forum... Anyways, I still wasn't able to fine anything by googleing. I'm still havin issues I guess...
I don't know of any glitches that can get around that. Once it said that, and I just placed another item, and that worked fine after that, couldn't explain it, but ti sounds like your just stuck here. Delete anything that you can do without, gameplay > prettyness. Just don't make it a blank map though.
There's a good reason for the item limit. The budget glitch can cause games to be excessively laggy, and coupling that with an item glitch would give you more hassles than they're worth. One thing that can help is to keep in mind that all your spawns and objective items count in the overall limit. If you aren't starting with a canvas, make sure you go through all your gametypes and delete your unnecessary starting spawns. Even for the gametypes the map is intended for, you really only need one starting point per team; the rest of the players will start nearest the starting spawn. Same goes for the objective points that you don't need. Bungie has made the maps so that you can't break any of their gametypes, but you can whittle them down to a number that will still keep them from breaking. Again, that's only if you didn't start with one of the better canvas maps that have edited everything including the gametypes. If not, you've got some hard choices to make.
