?

Should bungie create a menu in matchmaking for remade maps?

Now I am sure this sounds like a crazy idea however I just wanted to throw out the idea of Bungie creating a matchmaking section that used map remakes created by the players.

That way players could go play on maps like danger canyon or any other map remake out there.

What do you all think of this idea.

only certain maps are able to be remade properly and translate well to Reach's gameplay.

under certain conditions, this could be awesome,
but i foresee it also being filled with complaints of imperfect remakes,
or people claiming certain remakes are better than others.

Is it just me or has ForgeHub become the Fairy Godmother's of Halo:Reach because it seems like every pointless "I wish" thread is made here.

I'm sure this sounds like a crazy idea, but why not create such a thread in Bungie's Optimatch forum where a topic like this could actually serve a purpose... and something could possibly be done about.

Also, Forgetacular may bring out some surprises... like a decent remake or two put into playlists.

Getting past the usefulness (or lack thereof) of this thread - I'd say I'd be happy to see a playlist like that, provided Bungie included only the highest quality remakes and kept it to a reasonable number of maps (12 or so at most seems about right). The question is if such a playlist would be sustainable - if people would be interested enough to keep it alive. They don't want to partition up the players too much, which is why they've always kept tight control over how many playlists there are to begin with. Such a list might be a little too specialized. Personally I've never even liked the DLC playlists, though I know why they have to have them.

Thank you all for your comments on this idea. As for those of your who are concerned about issues with it I understand what you are saying and am glad that you pointed them out. :D
