Ok i saw this on Gamefaqs today

CRT (Big old non-HD TV) supposed 1 MicroSecond Response time
Plasma is in the 1 MicroSecond area
DLP (usually sold as rear projection sets) in the 15 MicroSecond area.
OLED (Only afforadable in phones currently) in the 25 Microsecond area.
LCD from 2 milliseconds to 16milli seconds

now according to this CRTs (tube TV Standard def) are significantly better than LCDs as far as response time goes. Is this true? Did i just spend all this money so i could be at a disadvantage?

I'm going to be straight with you. No, you won't notice a couple of microseconds difference.
CRT's are only faster because of the way they process the images. Newer TV's are known to be slightly slower yeah. But that is because they have more colour spaces to deal with, but quality to response time wise, there's nothing in it. You have the same advantages as anyone else.

CRTs have the best response time, so what. You're not going to be able to physically tell them apart form a hi-def tv and you're certainly not at a disadvantage for having one.

I used a LED tv with 2ms response time. It's great.

CRTs don't have the clarity or the resolution to be of any great value to gaming.
