Red Dawn_________________________________________________ Ok, this is my first map that I am putting on Forgehub, I put about a 4 hours into this map, and everyone that I tested this map with, friends and random people, enjoyed this map, and I was getting messages like, "kick ass map" and so on... Anyways, this map wasn't made to be finished in 2 minutes, the game always got down to the last second, and to think, its a 10 minute round. This map was made around the ideas of being a one bomb map only, but it works well... there are 4 entrances into the base, as well as a hidden 5th, and inside the base there are 4 levels. The base is huge, and takes up half of foundry. There is only one way into the bomb room and that is through (what I like to call) the catwalk which is fence boxes that make a side to side hallway that you can see and shoot your enemys through, thus forming a gridlock, which is really fun. Here are some pic's... By the way, I hope the pictures helped, the inside of the base is very tight, and it was hard to get clear shots... Finally someone makes a quality post right off the bat, without needing to be told how to imbed pics. This map sounds interesting, but what specifically about it makes it last until the last minute? Is it weighted toward defense? Does the bomb respawn at the attacker base really fast if dropped? My HaloBox is broken right now, so I can't download and see for myself, so some additional info would be appreciated. d3v0nst8r, if you're reading, please edit your post to remove those duplicate pics. Re: Red Dawn - First Map on Forgehub - Lots of Pics I haven't really checked it out in detail, but it looks great for a first post here. One problem I see happening is someone picking off others around the bomb spawn area, making for some very cheap spawn killing. There's a lot of vacant space down there, I see you tried snazzing it up with some scenery, but maybe you should try extending the attacker's base into it, or utilize it for something else.

Anyways, more details about the map, (yea, sorry about that, it was late and I had to go to school) First off, the bomb rules follow this, The guy runs full speed, 100%, which makes the game fast paced, also, if the bomb guy gets killed, it takes 60 seconds for the bomb to get respawned, also, when the bomb is planted (which is instant) it takes 15 seconds to explode, however it only takes 3 seconds to defuse, but, when it is defuse it stays on the platform for 60 seconds (idle time), so basically its just a long up hill battle to get up to the top of the hill in order to plant the bomb, but thats what makes it really fun. And the pain and suffering a team gets when they find out the bomb carrier got to the top, then got killed, only to drop the bomb to the bottem level ;D Other rules are things like 5 second respawn, and not making it possible to see the bomb guy if your on the other team. Like I said, this game usally always takes to the last second. Hope that helped. With the sniper, I already took that into thinking, which is why I made the sniper only have 1 extra clip, and when your up there it is really hard to snipe someone from the angles the wall is at, what I find people doing is grabing the shotgun and waiting for someone to go through the first and second entrance, which is fun to watch lol... And I would add more cover on the bottem, but bungie is killing me, theres no money left, I used it all :'(

I realized at least 2 other people said it already...but now my turn... what in the hellish abomination of a koalabat is up with the freaking spawns... they look like what it feels like to get hit in the freaking head...

Re: Red Dawn - First Map on Forgehub - Lots of Pics this is probaly the best fort/base/tower/thing/ish that ive ever seen. I'll dl for sure. the only thing that looks bad about it is the spawn points and the random stuff in the open part of the map. other then that, great map!
