[IMG]Hey, this is my first forge map, quidditch! For now I only have a video avalible, I will do pictures and stuff later. Basically, it jetpacks, bombs and golf clubs, in an insane ball of insaness!

    Im talking about quidditch!

YouTube - Halo Reach - QUIDDITCH!

Now,I know real quidditch has 3 planting points, but I tried it, and it completely ruined gampelay, as now to score and win you must use deviant tactics, and work together as a team to fullfill you one goal - annoy people!

    WUH BLAM!

I'd love some feedback on this, feel free to sub to my youtube and tell me what you think!

RED AND BLUE are main teams
ORANGE AND GREEN are commentators boxes (maximum 3 commentators per team)

    Thanks!

it looks good from what i can see, but i noticed one thing. When a player puts the bomb into the planting point, there was obvious room for camping the planting area. If one player imply hid in there, it would be impossible to score. Is that a problem or have you addressed this?

This was the first thing I noticed in the video. The scoring zone is campable, and someone who is slightly decent with the Gravity Hammer and Energy Sword can completely stop the game being played.
The second thing I need to comment on is the size of the map. Ive never played a game like this, so I respect the fact that the distance needs to be larger than an average Grifball map, but I thought it seemed a bit too big. I havent had an EXTENSIVE playtest yet, but it seems with an average Grifball team of 4v4, the map may be a bit empty. But still, I havent played enough to judge this.

Now for the good stuff. The map is Incredibly well forged. The surface is very clean, and the small raise on which the Bomb is located is a great idea.
The gameplay seems very fluid from what I can see from the video. The gametype seems incredibly fun and addictive, and will probably be a game I play many times over. The Jetpack+Gravity Hammer combination is a great one, and it takes more skill than normal Grifball.

The inclusion of assassinations is a great one, as it adds a feeling of reward while flying around chaotically. Its also a badass kill.

All in all, this is one of the best and addictive grifball variants around, although it has its issues, those issues are small. 9/10.

    That's a good point.

anyway the game looks good and i'd be happy to play this I have downloaded. but to me if i'm being honest this map looks like grifball with jetpacks.

when the bomb is planted, the player cannot use his/her weapon for about 2 seconds. Also, when players spawn they cannot be killed for 3 seconds. This stops spawn camping/killing.

If enough players go in when the bomb is planted, then it is merely good tactics, in terms of over powering your opposition.

But to answer your question yes i adressed this in early playtesting, you are invincible for 2 secs after spawn and bomb holder cannot attack for 2 seconds after planting.

    Thanks

I definitely like the pitch you've created for the second one much better. I'd almost like to see it on actual grass rather than water though. That's my only real complaint. It looks like a lot of fun!

    Griffball with Jetpacks!!!

How could I not download this.? This is a relevent addition to griffball, and by relevent I mean badass. AND you named it Quidditch. The forging on the second look alot more like what Ive seen on the movies (not that I watch those movies of course...) Great Work. Harry Potter wishes he was a spartan. Nerd friends an me are gonna go play now.....

The map looks good (especially version 2, though I'm not a fan of the water), but why are the bomb plants not set to go off instantly?

I just found that you get very fun scraps, the case of rushing to the bomb, being so damned fun. It also helps to promote teamwork, as you will have to defend the bomb for 3 seconds, and by yourself, given that the other team has good teamwork, they will sort it out
