Hi guys! This is a map using the shield walls in Boneyard. WAIT! come back....it's not another bouncy castle. What awaits you in this map is the greatest light show ever displayed in Halo. Not only is it dazzling, but it also shows off the power (and limitations) of the xbox 360. The shield walls, not to be confused with the one way shields or the regular shield doors, are more reflective than any of the others. Specifically, the plasma repeater, plasma pistol, fuel rod gun, plasma launcher and the rocket launcher all bounce off it AND persist for quite a while. The plasma repeater is the prize of the bunch. With a few players you will be able to shoot so many plasma bursts that some of them will slow down to a crawl and even freeze in place. Often the bolts will travel backwards and sideways and even lose their ability to do damage! Featured in the pictures is the plasma repeater and the fuel rod cannon (green pillars). I have found that the game does not like to keep large party sessions of this map in the theatre. Guess its too big to keep, so I don't have any pics of the 6 player pandemonium we had recently. It's set up for up to 16 players, king of the hill or slayer. You might want to download the gametype as well. I have 5 loadouts one with each weapon type. If you are toolazy to download the gametype, make sure you set your match up to have plasma repeaters and fuel rod cannons at the very least. (bottomless clip required) ***warning: if your xbox explodes while playing a 16 player match... awesome! Wow this really looks impressive. I'm pretty sure I've seen something like this before but not at this level. I'll check it out.
There is already a map with this idea, but it only uses plasma launchers. Im not to sure if it worked with other weapons, but its really hectic and fun and would love to be able to fuel rod some people
Yeah, I wouldn't have posted this map except for the fact that the others are on forgeworld. The shield walls on boneyard have slightly different properties. If I recall correctly, when I tested all the walls on forgeworld, none of them reflected much. (except for the plasma launcher) Anyway, I tested all the vehicles recently and did not find any that reflected well. The gauss cannon kinda did but stopped too soon. hmm...I actually forgot to do the plasma turret....have to go check that out.
