Doin' some more research on which is the better buy, and I need y'alls opinions again. This Christmas I am FINALLY going to get rid of my Motorola Q 9M, which I have had for 4 years. Yeah I know, have you ever made a smartphone live that long? Anyway, I'm trying to figure out whether I should get the Droid X, or spring the extra $50 for the Droid 2 (Actually, if I get the Droid 2, I'll probably get the Droid R2-D2, which is $250). The phones are very similar, almost too similar to be considered different phones. So my question really is, I guess, what is so great about the Droid 2 that it'd cost extra?
The Droid 2 is newer which is probably why it costs more (only by a month, but eh). I haven't seen anything that makes the Droid 2 stand out against the Droid X from comparing them, except that the Droid 2 has an actual keyboard. Having the Droid, I'd say having a physical keyboard has saved me a lot in the past when I needed to enter in something quick. I use the on-screen sometimes, but it can be really tedious when you're trying to type something in quickly.
