You guys are gonna love to here this. There are 107 field mashals in halo reach. If you dont believe me than just take a look for yourself: HaloCharts.com - - Halo: Reach - What does this tell you about bungie's ranking system? It seems that there is way to many ways to hack or cheat the system to get higher ranks. I dont think bungie really cared about the ranking system in this game.
Personally, I'm a sucker for armor permutations. Going over the rank of general though...is a little much. Being able to purchase Security shoulders/helmet is enough for me. Sooner or later everyone will be at that point, which is probably the reason why Bungie made over-the-top ranks after general. Those field marshals probably just credit farmed and AFCed.
How many threads are you going to create bitching about your rank or other peoples ranks? Every game has people who somehow cheat the system and get ahead of others. It happens. Also, saying a lot of people are cheating on Reach is a huge exaggeration. Who cares if they unlock armor faster than the people who actually play the game the way it's supposed to be played? Chances are, the people who enjoy playing the game the way it's designed, are having way more fun. Just let it be, you'll get there THE RIGHT WAY in due time.
Ok for one thing im not bitching about my rank or other ranks im just saying that its pretty amazing that theres that many field marshels. I know ill get there eventually so you dont have to accuse me of bitching. And its not an exaggeration that many people are cheating. Maybe if you would do a little research you would see how many people boosted for commendations. So i would really appreciate it if people would just read my posts and make good comments related to questions or other things in the post.
You've made two threads complaining (bitching) about how you are unsatisfied about your rank in a videogame. As for the people that boosted for commendations, take a look in the mirror. No. The old system breed people that obsessed and judged others based on a 2 digit number. People spent more time trying to one-up each other and forgot that a videogame should be spent being played rather than something that would boost your ego. I like this system, sure there's credit boosting, but if your statement was true, then why did Bungie implement credit bans? Or even Quitter Bans? Stop obsessing over your credits and just enjoy the game as it is.
The irony of someone with 11 Onyx Campaign commendations and 4 Onyx Firefight Commendations to waste time finding people that have even less of a life than you... Even more ironic is me telling a no lifer, that he has no life. Meh, it's early Sunday morning and I have nothing better to do.
I lol'd. Bungie's ranking system is the exact opposite of how you just described it... There is literally no possible way to cheat or hack this ranking system. If there was, there'd be hundreds of thousands of Inheritors right now. Also, if Bungie didn't care about this ranking system, there wouldn't have been that rank cap in place that we recently blew off... There also wouldn't be a daily limit of 60,000 cR able to be earned. Honestly, stop bitching about it and just play the goddamn game. Seriously, this is the second thread from you I've seen today that's been bitching about ranks.
I like the ranks, but please, people, go outside and see your families. And the game has been out for three months. I just get worried about people who already have 2 million credits. -Slamm
How many credits is that? That is just nuts. That is a lot of daily challenges/commendations/games period. Is that the same guy who did a 24 hour legendary ODST solo run?
Just food for thought. I once met one of the top WOW players in real life (I was a social worker at the time). He spent 24/7 playing the game, had several top ramked characters with several ultra rare items. Some people no doubt complained about him having no life... but here's the thing, he had severe physical disabilities and the game was pretty much the only pleasure he got from life. Yes, it could be argued that he was a sad no-life, but if it gave him pleasure what the hell was evryone's problem with him? You see my point?
Epic Fail by Stickman. There is. Bungie just bans all the ones that they detect. Which they are surprisingly good at. YouTube - inheritor halo reach Look at all these legit playa's.
who has no life? the person who plays 24/7, or the person who takes the time to post a thread about him? j/k
I think rank does not mean anything. why you ask... look at COD for a sec for reference. In COD you get somewhat rewarded for ranking up (getting access to new weapons and equipment etc etc) but in halo all you get is new armor (big whoop de doo really. I like it but it does not make your spartan any "better"). The ranking system is just a measure of how much someone plays and does not indicate skill at all. It doesn't matter if I play an inheritor and I'm just a lowly captain or something... they can still be defeated just as easily as myself and can win just as easily as myself. Honestly look at that fact, leveling up in halo = no big deal since it does not in any way affect gameplay or offer any type of "advantage". If you have a complaint you are either a jealous/envious person or you just like to whine. I didnt respond to this to "attack" or put anyone down, I'm just trying to point out the obvious fact that should be at the forefront of this debate. rank = nothing advantageous SO..... Its doesn't matter so keep with the spirit of why we all play video games, to have fun!
This is to all of you that posted a comment. I didnt make this thread to complain or wine about anything, thats not what i intended to do. All im saying is that i think its kind of amazing that theres over 100 field marshals since the level cap was lifted. But you guys seem to think everything i post is about wining so why dont you look at it from a different perspective so you can actually see what im saying.
That's what I meant, brah. Bungie can keep track of every single credit you earn. If there's even a single one outstanding, you get reset and banned.
Ummm... no, it's not amazing. You're just not very bright. The level cap didn't stop them from earning cR towards rank. It just stopped rank progression. When you think about it, players were already Generals as soon as the cap lifted. That's well over 2,000,000+cR they had earned. Field Marshall was only another 1,000,000 from that... and it was easier because you earn more cR at higher ranks.
