Remake Halo Wars

    Let me start by saying I am SO VERY SORRY! In case I have broken any rules yet...

    With that out of the way, here it is, my first and I think my most concentrated forge map. It's based on Halo Wars and it contains almost everything a usual battle in the RTS game "Halo Wars" has (does not contain leader powers).

    The map has UNSC and Covenant bases facing each other in the canyon originally meant for Haemorrage(Did I spell that right?). Elites attack by capturing one of the two points to unlock a bomb which they have to use to destroy the entrance of the UNSC airpad, carry a core from it back to a hovering Spirit dropship.

    THE GAMETYPES
    Invasion: Keepaway
    Race: Warthog rush (Play an online match in Halo Wars to know why it is named like this)

    Combat in Halo...
    ..Wars. is unique. Each base has teleporters leading to a 'basement' that contains vehicles. These are only uinlocked after 2 minutes of the game, regardless of the Elites capability of unlocking the bomb in the first 4 minutes, spicing up gameplay a bit. Communication is essential to make sure no teammate gets "SPLAT" on their way out of the base. Of course, powerful weapons and base turrets are the ones restricted by tier levels, as are loadouts.

    Overall, hope you enjoy it. Once again,I still can't get the hang of uploading pictures, if you can help me, that would be great. Do enjoy this map!

    You've effectively broken two rules with this post.

    The first being: No pictures
    The second: Disallowed Title.

    Take a look at these Rules and bring your post back up to standards before a mod catches it and deletes it.

    Okay, nice map you have there, but if you want better quality, take a film of your map from the theater, put it on your fileshare, go to bungie.net, copy the url from the film/clip, and put your film/clip on one of those picture/video sharing sites, and embed the link here, use this tip for future references, it'll help.

    Thank you, zakrox. Sorry to ask, but can you name a few of those picture/video sharing sites besides youtube? (Not sure if youtube even counts)

    well, i'd use youtube for your videos, because thats all i see other ppl use, and something like tinypic or photobucket for your pics, and you don't NEED a video, as long as the pix clearly demonstrate the map, so it's your choice. btw i was in the same pit as you with the manage attachments thing, so i can't help you there, sorry.

    for pictures:

    1. Go to the Bungie.net pictures, right-click, copy Image URL, and put in IMG tags.
    lower quality. delete space

    Jo351 and zakrox... Since I first entered this site, you two are the only people who were willing to help me out the most. I thank you two and hopefully you can try out my map and please give me a review of what you think of it.

    P.S If possible, could you post a video of it with a better quality? Look at mine and you would know why... I stick out from the rest of the forging community like a sore thumb...

    I like your idea and I'm going to DL it and see what could be improved. I can't tell by the pictures but did you put any shade turrets at the front of the Covenant Base? Also some floating sniper towers would look cool at the covenant side.

    Hey, Havok! Remember that the turrets and super weapons are unlocked after every tier. You could even see them spawn in my very low resolution video! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and don't forget, it's best with up to 16 players. I can't wait to see 16 players playing warthog rush on this map. It would make the most sense!!!

    Havok, I am not sure if my first message reached you. But anyway, the turrets were spawn through tiers. Can be seen through my video. And there are sniping posts in the middle. The unsc has stolen the nearest one. Also,there are shield and sand bag barriers in the middle for infantry to take cover(won't do much good though!).

    i checked it out.

    has a LOT of GREAT ideas.

    Pros - vehicles spawn in a different place (and time so no scorpian at start). Though i would put the warthog inside the base.

    like the turret idea though it could be made with greater detail.

    some (good) ascetics

    Good covenant base.

    Cons - i suggest edit cooradinates. its a great tool tat allows even greater detail.
    Enemy (if wanted) could just walk into their base and steal vehicles/weapons. (one way shield!!!)
    easy access to power weapons (allow im pretty sure they dont spawn at start)

    You have given me a great idea to make...

    I tried placing one-way shields. But then it would not allow your own team to get weapons or vehicles! Sure they can spawn from inside, but they might forget on the way or just happen to be waiting for the moment a Rocket launcher spawns to run back and take it. And also, the enemy would camp around the entire base waiting for you to come out!

    For the Edit coordinations, I actually did use it quite alot, but most were avoided to prevent Z-fighting (Texture glitch).
    Aesthetically, I tried to stretch without decreasing gameplay value, but there was not enough money left! (Damn budget!) I had to remove some items just to make that Covenant leader grav lift and Spirit hovering behind the base!

    Anyway, I am glad this gave you an idea, cowboy! Hope to see more projects from you! :D

    Pretty cool map. I personally loved Halo Wars and this is a pretty could remake of the two bases used in the game. The covenant base is a interesting and the UNSC base is as cool as some of the ones I saw on Halo 3. Overall great job dude. Dl and liked
