Hi everybody, I am ultimentra. I came here today because I need help with a map me and my friend are making and yes I have seen all of forgehubs videos but I still cannot seem to fix this problem. My friend and I have deleted all spawn points except for ones that we placed inside of the bases so that each team would ONLY spawn at their appropriate base. However whenever we do test matches we continue to spawn randomly around the map. Him and I have tried doing attackers and defenders, and we have tried setting either side to Team 3 and 4 but it still wont work for us. Is there any way to make people spawn at the very beginning to the very end of the game in the areas that we want them to? Thanks in advance,

I'll help ya. Do exactly as I say: First, all of the spawn points in the bases need to be set to Defenders in one base and attackers in the other. The other spawn points, out in the "warzone" as I like to say, could be set at Team 3, Team 4, Team 5 and so on. All you need to remember is that the main bases you want the teams to spawn in need to have attackers and defenders, but not Attackers and Defenders in the exact same base.... I hope I'm not confusing you.

    Base 1: Attackers
    Base 2: Defenders
Warzone: Team 3 and Team 4.

Kinda like that. I hope this helped.

First off, welcome to Forge Hub. Hopefully you'll have an enjoyable experience here; most of us are pretty cool.

Secondly (if I may offer an opinion), why would you want to have your teams spawn only in your bases? From past experience, that can lead to a lot of spawn killing by a more dominant team if they were able to pin you in your base. But, I do have a solution regardless: respawn areas. There are eight for most all gametypes, and CTF has a couple extra that are exclusive to it. So, if you always want your team to spawn in a base, make sure you are in the gametype you want (Slayer, CTF, whatever) and pull up a respawn area, designate it to your specific team and place it. You can also change the priority level from default 0 to 1, and viola; your team will almost always spawn in that one area. Repeat for your other team, or you can add more than one for each team in other locations (highly recommended).

Now, I said "almost always" because Bungie's spawning system is set up to put you as far from perceived danger as it can. So even though you have a high-priority respawn area placed, you may respawn out of it if you're constantly being fragged by the other team as soon as you respawn. That's why I recommend placing more than one in different areas as to give you a more enjoyable Halo experience.

I would try this before using the alternative method as described by my esteemed colleague above me. Changing all of the individual spawn points from Neutral is time consuming and ultimately not as practical as using respawn areas. The same effect can be achieved in much less time.

EDIT: You might also want to check out this thread that discusses Respawn Areas and their uses ad nauseam.

Thank you all very much for the input. I will hopefully be submitting my new foundry map titled RSH: Rainbow Six Halo soon to forge hub. The map will be encouraging the tactical gameplay of Rainbow Six game in halo using close quarters with specific gameplay elements like no shields but 150 damage resistance and high gravity to have a more down to the ground tactical shooting experience rather than jumping running and gunning.

If you haven't fixed it yet, make sure there is enough spawn points for a full game, and make sure you used starting points, if you didn't the first spawn will be messed up. Try to keep the area around the spawn points clear so that a point won't be blocked.
