    Every game is Slayer ;)

And I can never seem to have fun on this map, granted, I've never been a big fan of natural, large vehicle-based maps. I'm more of the small symmetrical type maps. But still, there's not a whole lot of room for infantry to have battles. On Paradiso, at least you can go up on and around the mountain and have cover. And at least the vehicles are balanced on it. It's sooooo much easier to take out a tank on Paradiso than almost any vehicle on Hemorrhage.

I love hemorrhage. the only time I get annoyed is when it appears a few games in a row. I really missed it from halo 2 when it was coagulation, Valhalla was great but not a suitable replacement, nor was Standoff.
I do think some of the cliffs that are accessible are a slight problem, but you're right next to a soft killzone and visible to everyone else, so unless one team is outnumbered or outskilled its generally not a huge issue. if you're outnumbered and/or outskilled you are screwed anyway. Since they took the scorpion off, I'd say its damn near perfect (I do miss those 40 kill sprees though)

Hemmorhage isnt Blood Gulch, and thats where the problem lies.

Basically, Its too big first. Next, the map isnt symmetrical, and last, it sucks. Its just plain horrible to play on. Elite Slayer and BTB and Invasion Slayer ALL suck on it.

I really enjoy Hemorrhage when playing with a group of friends. we can all cover areas of the map/go after certain vehicles. I'm far more effective with a ghost than with a revenant. One of my friends is an insane driver with the warthog, with another who almost never misses a bullet with the turret. Together they destroy. Some people are much better with wraiths than others (I can't use them at all really, die so quickly.) Another teammate pretty much goes about on a mongoose killing for their power weapons (stopping their sniper rifle destroying us >.>)

On a game of flags, I'll forsake the ghost for passenger in that warthog combo from before.

Although the map is massive (I'll admit, it feels too big to me), working together in roles is an extremely effective way of holding the map. This is regardless of being on red/blue.

So, we go about our ways, using the vehicles most suited to us. This generally allows us to

    You're so right!

Hemmorhage is NOT Blood Gulch, and it certainly isn't Coagulation either!

To everyone that thinks its the same and a good remake, go put Halo 2 in and look at the important details in Coagulation.

They are ALL, yes, ALL MISSING in Hemmorage!

There are so many small but critical details in Coagulation that make the map's gameplay work that are missing entirely in Hemmorage. I think the people that made Hemmorage seriously did not play Coagulation much, did not go back and replay it to get a feel for it before re-creating it, and did not understand what made it work.

Honestly its obvious the designers of Hemmorage looked at Coagulation and Blood Gulch and saw an open oval shaped field with sloping hills with a base at each end, three ridges at the edges of the map, a cool cave, a few rocks, and a hole in the wall that serves no purpose.

Because THAT is what they made.

They do NOT understand those ridges have to be positioned correctly and scaled correctly so that they function as foot routes for people to travel on if they are not in a vehicle.

Instead, there is only 1 single route in Hemmorage where there were 3 routes in Coagulation and Blood Gulch. The 1 route in Hemmorage is straight up the middle, or you can go towards the sides but its still out in the open middle technically, and therefore the same route, and that route is for VEHICLES!

So the vehicles tear apart the poor players that are on foot.

The teleporters are supposed to get you across the map faster too, and those are also positioned wrong. The lines of sight with the teleporters are incredibly WRONG.

Even the terrain is so screwed up its impossible to get the correct lines of sight from Coagulation reproduced in Hemmorage by moving the teleporters. The terrain gets in the way and prevents a forger from being able to reproduce the correct lines of sight by moving the teleporters.

The rocks are also positioned in the wrong places, and many rocks are completely missing and non-existent in Hemmorage, which are CRITICAL to helping players be able to get to the other team's base.

THATS WHY YOU CAN'T EVER GET THE FLAG!

And there are many more mistakes too. It would take forever to point them all out. But its obvious Bungie made an open, oval shaped hill filled field, threw two bases at the ends, made three ridges, a cave, threw a few rocks down, and truly believed they had a remake of Coagulation and/or Blood Gulch.

For my own part, I never liked Coagulation even, so the alleged failure of Hemmorhage isn't breaking my heart. Blood Gulch stands alone. As remakes/reimaginations of it go, I much preferred Valhalla, because it was just its own thing entirely except for using the same basic design concept.

I think a lot of it just has to do with what you're used to. We played LAN games of CE endlessly, and I knew the Gulch like the back of my hand. Therefore every single new wrinkle of Coagulation just bothered me. Changed bases, different rocks - I hated it.

Yeah, Blood Gulch was my favorite. Hemmorhage seems to be missing something though. I think the scale is different or something. It just doesn't seem to work as well as the gulch did back in the day.

Some of the most epic moments i've had in reach have been on hemorrhage, i don't see anything wrong with it. "WAHHH THE SNIPER RAPPESS" well last time i checked each side gets a sniper.

It's got the same pros and cons of other decent reach maps imo

It's not that one side is better than the other, its that dropping dead by a headshot isnt any fun. Some people, like me, prefer a fight, a chance to best the other person through strategy, Hemorrhage isn't bad at all, I just don't like it, It just primarily offers Sniper rapes, DMR fights, or Warthog fights.

I don't mind it other than the cheap areas in the map. I think it's the same as Bloodgulch more or less. I don't feel like it's dominated by vehicles, because I've used the same strategy since Halo: CE, which is to just use the side passageways and walk along the wall.
I don't really get to play it much outside of Invasion Slayer, but every time I see it come up on the list of maps, I vote for it.

I posted a comment on B.net forums a long time ago (much to my surprise, it never got read). The Plasma Launcher should be replaced by a Spartan Laser, remove the Revenant, and add Falcons.
