Here is the link to the guitar map: http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=33936230 Made by:Mikelp10 This map is a giant guitar (if anyone knows a lot of guitars) this is the "Fender Squier Guitar." If anyone doesnt know about it, here is a picture of the real version: and the halo version: The map includes an amp, a full guitar, and a pic. It has everything a normal guitar has, including humbuckers, plug in spot, knobs for volume, distortion switch, even the stubs on the end for a guitar strap. Here are the pictures: Guitar from back: amp: (dont get too close itll blow your ears off.....litterally) WHAMMY! (whammy bars arent worth the work): tuning. "if you think normal tunings bad!": Fender Signature: Fret burning: Cords: ("I broke my back trying to plug this in, I hope you're happy!") Band Signature. (that explains the exploding amp): Made by: Note while playing this: the game will probably lagg. that means, your spartan is probably affected by the umm.. "loud music box" feel free to tell me to tone it down. =)
looks interesting i don't quite get the piont of the map unless its a decoration map but the guitar looks really nice
this looks extremely cool and creative but this should be in the screenshots section but this does look cool
Best forged guitar ever. Thank god it's actually a guitar and not that infernal guitar hero controller again. Music played from the heart beats mindless button-mashing any day.
thats was a good idea interlocking walls to the boxes to make it looks as if they were strings. also the fret burning and the amp exploding are awesome. good job
a-groeper, I agree completely, guitar hero is pretty cool, but not as good as real guitars, and also the point of an aesthetic map is just to have a nature that LOOKS like something, if you want a competative map, theres an entire section. like look at the great maps like pelican, assault mech, ect. on some maps you cant do much on them but climb around them, but there are others that climbing around them is ok because they are ment just to be fun. And the aesthetic section on forums is filled with maps made by a bunch of guns and equipment to make a picture.
You realize that makes no sense right? One, it is ACTUALLY a map, nothing else. Two, Guitar Hero is inspiring MANY people to take up guitar as a hobby. And three, mindless huh? I take it you can play Guitar Hero in your sleep, behind your back, playing left-handed. And nice map man, beats my guitar.
Forgive me, Santa, I was just venting my hatred of Guitar Hero. The reason I hate it so much is because of the fact that the point of the entire game is to play music written by billboard artists that have been promoted by multimillion dollar corporations. Guitar hero helps the media control what kids think is "cool" music nowadays. It would be a million times better if the game had included a "write your own tunes" component, but it doesn't, and thus, kills creativity and turns millions of poor kids into drooling idiots. Reducing the game to it's skeletal structure, all Guitar Hero teaches kids is that following orders to press a series of buttons will reward you with pleasant music. Ever heard of Pavlovian responses? It's just another corporate plot to control us.
Good job, it looks pretty good. And thank you for not being another loser who draws something out of weapons, which is dumb unless it's really complicated and awesome.
Sama, actually. Games like Rock Band have high profile bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Police, Nirvana, etc, because it's what everyone will already know and like. They add a wide amount of songs from high, medium, and low popularity bands to give you a huge spectrum to choose from. It's not just billboard artists, you realize that right? Freezepop, Black Tide, Bang Camero, Count Zero, Mother Hips, etc. All low profile bands featured in Rock Band. Also it's point is to broaden the horizons of YOU, the player (well, maybe not YOU, but you know know what I meant). Black Tide, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Priestess, Velvet Revolver, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, all examples of bands I've discovered. Yes, it would be better if you could record and playback jam sessions. It's a game, why does it need to teach you anything? Wait...those last two or three lines. You have to be kidding. Media control through that? Nevermind giant billboards in racing games, it's media control through music...riiiiiight. Now, I'm all for conspiracy theories, but that's insanity.
really creative using walls as the string and teleporters as the knob things (i dont play guitar as u can see) first ever one ive seen on halo and wat i see is good espicially the amp and how u evplained it ncie job 5/5
thanks again everyone. and in the discussion of guitar hero, I play it, but i actually listened to the bands like megadeth, metallica, slayer, dragonforce before the guitar hero series, I hate all the posers dat pretend to like those bands just because of guitar hero. all i see on peoples ipod are the 1 song by the band put into guitar hero, it just drives me crazy. and guitar hero makes people try to take on the hobby of guitar, but it actually screws them up when they play guitar hero 1st, if they started real guitar without guitar hero, it doesnt mess up their fingers. Guitar hero, in my opinion is also very unrealistic unless the song is played on 1 string only. 5 buttons=5 frets, 5 frets=1 5 fret string+ 1 open string.
This guitar is amazing; I especially like how you did the strings, very creative (although I think I only saw five, hehe). Now all you have to do is play some music off your hard drive and try to run up and down the frets to it.
Coming from a guitarist, I must ask, why the heck did you make a Squier? Squiers are just crappy versions of real fenders. I prefer Les Pauls over Strats as well, but at least call it a Fender and not a Fender Squier. Or perhaps you have a Squier, poor soul... lol.
