I enjoy making fun, competitive maps for my friends and others to play on, and I take it seriously. I've given one picture as a taste of what is to come, to not destroy the feelings of looking at a map for the first time, and finding what secrets await through the turn of the next corner. My post is not here for criticism, and it's not here for praise, it's not here for downloads, and it's not here for me to gain attention, I need neither. First, the map looks very tight from what I can see from the one picture. Now, about the post: You've probably spent quite some time working on the map itself, refining and perfecting it. You take it "seriously" in your own words. It feels like you are doing a disservice to the map and your hard work by not taking the posting process very seriously. I can sympathize about not wanting to spend a ton of time working on a post. I feel the same way. It's pretty tedious, but without more screen shots, or at least a brief description of what the map is intended to be, don't expect many people to see your work. When you see a commercial for a new movie coming out it typically doesn't say: "We like to make movies. We've made a movie for you........that's all the matters. Go see it. Thank you." Tell us about , and show us enough of the map to wet our whistles a little. *Your player count is set to 1MAX and 1MIN I read the post. Didn't feel like piling on. These two statements don't go together. That fact that you are posting a video means that you realize that you need to show what the map looks like before you can expect any downloads. A desription of the map, even a very short one, is needed as well. I downloaded the map earlier. I'm looking forward to trying it out. Just trying to give you some constructive advice about posting.
Thanks about the 1 min 1 max, I forgot about that... but tight? download it and look at it before you make a judgment call. Also, I think you missed down at the bottom where it says in caps," video will be up soon." It's not that big of a post, you could have read the whole thing first. [br][/br]Edited by merge: I'm not going to show the entire map in the video, just a few rooms and tricks so people can get the most out of the map. Again, I don't care about downloads, it's just a statistic.
Downloaded, I like what I see. I wish I could see some more pics. Luckily enough I'm interested enough by the one pic to go get it and see the rest. Will be back later with a full reply.
While it doesn't look like it will be a community favorite, I can take it seriously as a good layout. Don't bother about what the community thinks, just keep earning the respect of the pros and you'll be on your way. Invite me when you play on this. Edit: I'm not referring to myself as a pro, if you read it like THAT.
