Assault Invasion Issues

    Just had a quick question to see if anyone has found a work around. I am making an invasion match and think it would be interesting to spice things up a little with assault, but I've ran into problems:

    When the ball falls into the water/off a cliff, it disappears and reappears at it's spawning point ONLY after the timer goes out. For example, if I set the reset time to 30 seconds, and it is dropped in the water or off a cliff for example where players are not supposed to go (for instance, they are shot off the cliff with a grenade and/or revenant), it stays on the ground for 30 seconds before it is reset. This is an issue because assault shouldn't be a 15 minute phase.....

    Any settings anyone has found to make this so it doesn't happen. I don't want to set the ball return time to instant as it would make it nearly impossible for the attackers. I do want to the ball to return practically instantly though if it goes somewhere like under the water or into a killzone.

    Have you tried adding a Soft Kill Zone over these areas?

    I tried a soft kill and it didn't seem to work...I don't know about a safe zone if that will do the trick or not.

    I would send you an invite, but I don't actually have high speed internet at home. Only dialup...and I have to go about an hour drive to get to a buddy's house that does have high speed. Do you know how to fix the issue though?

    I know that when an objective item enters a Hard Kill Zone it respawns itself.

    Still having issues with this. Killzones do not make it instant respawn, and it only respawns after the timer runs out (which is 30 - 45 seconds right now, which is too long to be waiting around for the bomb to respawn).

    Any other suggestions on how to fix it? Is there a setting somewhere? Maybe killzones don't do it but if I place safezones and it leaves a safezone it will work?

    It's generally good practice to use a Safe Boundary anyway, so try it.

    It looks like it's bugged and doesn't work correctly in invasion...no wonder bungie didn't have any assault phases.

    Here is what I did to test ->

    - Loaded "The Cage" and played Assault on it.
    - Jumped off with the bomb. It reset instantly
    - Set up invasion on "The Cage" with CTF being the third phase
    - Jumped off with the core at the same part of the map I jumped off the bomb with in Assault mode. The Core INSTANTLY reset.
    - Changed the invasion options so the third phase was Assault.
    - I played again, this time jumping off with the bomb in INVASION mode in the same spot that I jumped off the level with the core in CTF Invasion and the bomb in normal Assault. The bomb waited for it's full reset timer (30 seconds) before resetting. No Instant respawn.

    Anyway to get ahold of bungie and tell them about this? It's obviously a bug and shouldn't behave like this. Maybe they know about it already (as I said, why there isn't any assault modes in the shipped invasion maps). This is lame and totally destroys me using assault in my third phase....and probably totally destroys any chance a custom invasion map winning the forge contest that uses assault if there are any cliffs or water around.


    Maybe someone has found a way around this, but I doubt it as my tests were pretty solid and foolproof.
