Is there a way to make boundaries visible in an ACTUAL game...? It really doesn't even have to be a kill boundary. It could be a 1x1 block with a boundary that is visible. I'm just trying to think of a way to make my kill boundaries noticeable without sand boxing them in. Grid/One way shields work to an extent but there just isn't enough of them to make a visual kill zone.

Look at how bungie does it. The guns around snowbound. The little markers around sandtrap. Do something creative

Some people use objects that have easily noticeable colors, color them red and then pepper them around the boundaries of their maps.
It was kinda like passing up the little light bulbs in Sandbox, harmless themselves, but they warned of impending doom.

That's actually some pretty good advice. I wouldn't have thought of something like that. However, a lot of it depends on the area of the map. Obviously if you have a map built in the air, anything that isn't map will probably not be a good place to be. However, if you have a map limited to the middle part of hemorrhage, then it gets a little more difficult. While it'll be obvious to most players that the area around the map isn't intended for play (since there is nothing out there), others won't always be as intelligent. Out of context my reccomendation is to put a soft kill barrier slightly inside of a hard kill barrier. That way they get a countdown alerting them that that area is not intended for gameplay.
If that doesn't help I'll need some context about the map, like where it's located, why you want the boundaries visible, the gametype(s) that it's being set up for, etc.

Why not just use a soft-safe zone barrier?
    Sorry, don't mean to sound like a smart-ass =P

Well I usually use my method because it's a lot easier than stretching the dimensions of the soft-kill barrier so that it cannot be escaped using sprint, evade, or a vehicle. That's pretty tedious to me, so I figure that method is easier.

Soft Safe Boundaries are pretty awesome.

EDIT: That post becomes funnier when you realize that my avatar is me Forging the Awesome emoticon using Respawn Points. Problem is, it's stuck at a pitiful size due to ForgeHub limits.

On a more detailed note: a Soft Safe Boundary is the inverse, not the opposite, of a Soft Kill; anything outside the Soft Safe functions as a Soft Kill. Kill Boundaries override Safe Boundaries, so problem areas inside the Safe can still be blocked accordingly.

    Thank you mister Cobb.

On a non-spam related note (and back on topic), there are several various ways to mark the boundaries of your map. Blades had some good recommendations, but on the ground where the boundaries seem ambiguous markers are definitely nice, however, if you want to go the tight-pockets way and save objects I'd recommend simply using a soft-safe zone and leave the rest to stupidity.

Sparingly scattering flag posts could be a good way too. They have flashing white lights and spikes on the underside which look kind of menacing. This is assuming you don't need all your flag posts for a gametype, though. Free, so no worries on your budget.

I just use the candy coating method right now, though. A soft kill zone with a hard kill core about 2 meters deeper.
