    Hello Forge Hub! I am pleased to offer you a preview of my first published map, Spirit. I built this map with the concept of a high rise apartment or some sort of lavish building. I intended gameplay in this map to operate with open interiors with interesting sight lines and narrow exteriors with open and direct pathways. I am still working on optimizing weapons, spawns, and gametypes. I am in need of some testers to help with this, so I thought I'd post some images of Spirit to entice those who might help me.

    I am somewhat experienced with forge, but I am still working on making my maps clean and organized. As such, I am open to any sort of criticism you might have to offer. So without further delay, here are some images of Spirit:

    A top view of Spirit. Note the open courtyard in the middle as well as the man cannon at the right. This cannon propels players to the middle courtyard.

    A detail of a player using the man cannon. At the moment, a plasma launcher spawns at the bottom of the bridge ramp leading to the cannon.

    A closer look at the top courtyard. The Energy sword spawns here under the watch of a turret, DMR spawns, and a needle rifle. Note the hole in the dish near the machine gun. Players will take a gravity lift from inside to the courtyard.

    An overview of the interior greenspace. The Gravity lift rests on the platforms above while a sniper rifle spawns below on the rocks. Multiple exits to the exterior platforms surround this space.

    The opposite end of the interior. This space houses plasma grenades and small arms weapons. Note the mancannon in the background.

    A better look at the ramps on one side of the base. Players in team games spawn up and down these platforms which can offer access to the interior, topside, power weapons, and close quarters fighting while also being easy to defend and navigate.


    Thank you for looking through these images of Spirit. If you are interested in testing this map with me, please let me know and I'd be happy to get online and get it going. I've never tested my maps with a group of people with a testing mindset, but I hope I can use your input to make this as good of a map as possible.

    Wow, this map looks exceptional well forged and interesting to play on. the overview shot reminds me a little bit of Halo 2's Gemini in setup. Count me in for helping you test and tweak this into perfection. My GT is Vraith and I'm usually free for invites =)

    And yes, I think Gemini became an influence the further along I went. Always loved that map!

    I agree with Vraith, I think I'd like to help you test this map as well o:
    It looks well made and actually, if weapons spawns are right the map oughtta be awesome :D

    I like the look of this map. I love all the small aesthetic pieces you stuck in there. like the floating rocks /thumbs up :)

    Thanks for the lovely comments. I've been doing some more work to add gametypes for the map and the weapons set is done. So far I have Curious Corndog and Vraith set to help test. Judge and Kittenpaste, are you willing to help test as well?

    I will have two of my friends on with me to help test this weekend so I can see if any split screen lag issues show up. If you have any more comments, let me know. Thanks!

    Sorry for not being able to get on and test this map with you guys. I did have some other people hop on, and I decided to go ahead and publish the map as version 1. Go take a look and download! And if you see me online, send me an invite and we'll get in a game or two.
