This is my final version. This map is reminiscent of Pit from Halo 3 (Not original intention). The size of the map appears to hold few at first glance but can hold ten with quite some room to spare. Action takes place in the center tower, center area, pillar lifts, and sniper catwalk. But there are still some gunfights along the Turret alleys. Rockets get picked up fast and spent like chump change. But those that were going to camp up there has a fiery grave. Sniper spawns to the left of the bottom most image in that hallway. The sniper catwalk provides vantage points of limited cones of FoV of the map due to angling of cover pieces. Grenade launcher sits right at teh back on the other side of the map with shotguns flanking in the upraised corners. Shotguns are used liberally in the main center area and by the blocks under the turret walkways. Jetpackers get around quickly but are commonly shot down by the DMR's and Needle Rifles. There are enough corners for cover but enough open spaces to keep things interesting. Weapons: DMR x5 Needle Rifle x4 Rockets x1 Sniper x1 Shotguns x2 Grenade Launcher x1 Machine Gun Turret x2 Plasma Pistol x2 Frags x8 Stickies x6 Slayer: Best way to describe it is SNAFU. One Flag: Sniper becomes invaluable in covering a capture but rockets help out in defense. All other specified gametypes are supported but rarely used. Depends on your tastes.
First things first, this map looks fairly bland. Consider adding some sort of distuingishing feature to tell it apart from other Forge World maps. This can be anything from a single aesthetic piece to coloring in all the pieces and adding lights to distuingish teams. Doing this will also help with callouts, allowing for more competitive play.
Yeah, that was to be in the second round of updates. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Final Version is now up.
I checked out your first version. It played well. Does kinda feel like the Pit. I agree with Harris and that there should be some aesthetic pieces added (IF you are doing Forgetacular). Other than that its good. I'll download the new version and give it a try.
