I dont have a DS and dont plan too I used to be for mobile gaming but now I only have my GB and GBA XD. I do have Pokemon pinball somewhere, but its Pokemon The Trading Card Game actually. and have you folks played that pikachu game for the N64, where you need to talk thru a mic? I still have all of that and I still feel pissed at screaming into the mic just to get him to move and get me a stick lol.
Lol I don't have that one, but I have played it, and it is pretty much the most frustrating thing ever, but at the same time, you still continue to play, and I don't know why.
@Randles' Pic, I spy a Gameshark cartridge if im not correct. I lost mine somewhere in my upstairs. That thing made games more fun then you could ever have. Just only used it for fun tho, and beat all my games before using it XD. But yeah I keep screaming at him to pic up a damn stick and then he goes over, picks it up stares at me then throws it across the damn map, and im like "WHAT THE ****, WHY DID YOU DO THAT", and his only response was " <3". I'll never get how and why they programed Pikachu to be so lovable even though I want to stab him with that damn stick at the time.
You are probably looking at pokemon pinball, I don't have a gameshark. Me and my friends mess with him so much, we'll yell curses at him, and call him names and he just responds with a <3 or some other form of happiness which is hilarious.
Ah my bad, yeah I think your right. Yeah I remember now, I have my pinball game somewhere and I remember it still works so I may go hunting for it sometime. I guess happiness is the only form he knows. What pissed me off more is when I asked him to go get me something and comes back with something that looks like **** and that it was still warm and its in his mouth.. :/.
I don't know if anyone has heard of pokemon hard mode, but I'm trying it out with an emulator on my computer so I can screenshot everything. I'm using platinum btw rules in spoiler Spoiler -If a Pokemon in your party faints, you must release it. -Every time you reach a new route, cave, etc., you must catch the very first Pokemon you see, regardless of your current number of party members. The Pokemon may sit within the box for an indeterminate amount of time as a backup. -If you fail to catch the first Pokemon you see, either via it fleeing, knocking it out, or having no Pokeballs, you may not catch another. Tough ****. -This means you can not catch a pokemon in a route you were in before you could catch pokemon. So no route 1, you were there before you had pokeballs. -If a town you go to contains a body of water or a gift Pokemon like Bill’s Eevee in G/S/C/HG/SS, that may be considered a Pokemon of a new area. -You must nickname your pokemon so there is some sort of attachment. Each pokemon is a best friend to you, to see them die is heartbreaking. -If your entire party faints, they all must be thrown away. If you have a pokemon left in a box somewhere, you may continue, otherwise you must start your game over. -Treat pokeballs as rare artifacts; at no point can you buy more than one from each store. You should only use ones you find in the wild or are awarded. -You are, under no circumstance, allowed to get a second pokemon from any given area. -You are, under no circumstance, allowed to use items outside of battle. If you were poisoned on your last turn of the battle, you better hope to god theres a pokemon center nearby. -You may not switch out before the enemy trainer sends in a new Pokemon. -You are not allowed to use legendaries in battle. -If your pokemon is 4 levels higher then the pokemon you are fighting then you are not allowed to attack with that pokemon. (Wild pokemon only. Legendary pokemon acts like a trainer fight.) The only thing I might do slightly different is items outside of battle, only for the elite four though as recovery, but besides that I'll follow all rules
Nix on the emulator, it runs like ****, I'll just copy my rom into a seperate folder and work from my DS sorry for no screenshots, but I'll post my progress. Initially, I named my character "Hipster" Because let's face it, wearing a scarf in a beach town pretty much means your a hipster. My rivals name is poser, because I couldn't come up with an equally impressive hipster name for him. I'm naming all my pokemon on greek mythology as well, because it sounds cool and pretentious. EDIT: Update 1 I'm still just past jubilife city, as I'm obviously not ready for oreburgh gym, right now I'm working on training Iapetos (bidoof), because upon evolution at level 15 he learns water gun and then we can easily clear out oreburgh gym. Other members are Theia (Starly, and my first captured pokemon), Ares (Chimchar), and Eos (Shinx) Update 2 On my way to Oreburgh I encountered a psyduck of all things in the cave, his name is Epimetheus, also I managed to catch a budew named Eurynome, and my most tragic tale, Ourea. By my signature you can probably already tell what my news is going to be. I managed to beat oreburgh gym, but out of cockiness I decided to train Ourea while finishing off cranidos, biggest mistake. As I'm transferring Ourea out he gets hit with pursuit and dies. Although he is the shortest lived member on my team, he will still be sorely missed :'(
Update 3 So I got quite a few things to say, first of all, I decided to ditch the Greek names about halfway through, since I'm not growing attached to these pokemon because I can barely remember their names lol Next we have the travel I did a lot of team rocket nonsense, and picked up a few new pokemon, but they are currently sitting in my box. I decided to train my Budew Erynome a bit, actually a lot, and I got her up to level 15 when tragedy struck. Meditite when out and she hit my budew with confusion with crit, absolutely destroying her. This was the first emotional one I've seen down, since I had only just caught Ourea when he died. Budew was still not happy, since she didn't evolve into Roselia. So I get to the next gym, and I'm ready to face grass, I've already beefed up Theia and Ares to be awesome as ****. So they are running through kicking ass, and I decide to trade them off right at the end with Roserade, well I was looking at my DS from and angle and I accidentally hit Iapetos (my bidoof) at the end, and he just got destroyed by Magical Leaf (it was during mid battle so I didn't have time to switch him out) I hadn't used Iapetos in a while, but I always felt I couldn't put him in my box despite what new pokemon were there, I guess now I can, but still I miss that little bastard, and he will be missed.
Nice, I've heard the same rules called the 'nuzlocke challenge'. I've been doing it on my leafgreen on and off. In other news I got the Japanese version of Black Version on my flash drive. I havn't tried it out yet, though
Thread revived. That hard mode sounds like a pretty cool challenge to do Randle. I think I may try it on my Pearl sometime. So I've pretty much got the team I want in HG. I just have to evolve Sneasel and get it's moveset to how I want (Ice Punch, Low Kick, Dragons Dance, Shadow Claw). Then I just have to wait for a swarm of Ralts to show up and catch a male, evolve into Gallade and train. Then I want to train my team to lvl 100 before I get Pokemon Black/White.
kinda want to try a nuzlocke run, what gaem should i do it on? LeafGreen Ruby HeartGold Platinum i was thinking leafgreen since its the original, and i havent played it in 3 years the beginning of all the games is such a pain though
I did a Nuzlocke run on my FireRed, it was hard as hell. My Pearl was harder though (my Rival DESTROYED me). Really, the only hard parts of FireRed/LeafGreen are Mt. Moon and Dark Cave.
IMO the series died after Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, which were kinda iffy themselves. But Stadium 1 & 2 were addictive as hell, loved bringing in my own teams. Of course I had a doped out Mewtwo with a usual supporting cast of Zapdos and Starmie ,so I always won.
I just finished (well, beat the Pokemon League) Pokemon White. I was blown away, Game Freak really outdid themselves this time with the storyline. The new Pokemon sucked, but that's just because I'm used to the originals because I grew up with them. But seriously, the story was almost too good for a Pokemon game. And there is tons more to do after the Pokemon League is completed, and I'm excited to do all of that.
Playin Yellow on my phone emulator like a boss. Charizard-51, Pikachu-50, and I haven't gotten to Celadon. >
On my blue, I was stuck in rock tunnel because I never get flash till later; My Charizard is level 86.
Stupid Leaf Green and first Gym Leader. I picked Charmander and Im having a tough time beating Brock. Ive tried to train Caterpie and Weedle to evolve to have some chance but it isnt working. Charmander has Metal Claw, which is super effective, but Onix kills me in two hits with Rock tomb. The first one lowers my speed so he attacks first next round... Its the only Pokemon game I havent spent hundreds of hours playing. Ive played ALL others.
get a pidgey and train it pretty high and make it learn sand attack. Get your charmander up pretty high as well. Then sand attack the living hell out of his pokemon and kill them with pidgey until his onyx comes out. Then sand attack it until you die and kill it with charmander. Thats what I do in red version and it works evertime. Or you could get a nidoran to level 32 so it learns double kick (i think thats the level)
Psh, I'm playing emerald and leafgreen on my phone emulator, havent even gotten to a gym on emerald and I already have torchic at level 15 gonna start playing chrono cross on it in a bit (oh yeah my phone rocks)
