I was just wanting to know, is there any tips and or tricks out there people know of that will help save a bit of budget and object limit in the map? My friend has made multiple maps and has drained his counters to almost nothing on all of them. I was just worried something would happen and I wouldn't be able to make my map. ~Thanks in advance
Go back through your map periodically (at least a few times throughout the whole build) and look for pieces that can be removed because they aren't adding anything, or expensive pieces (like decorative) that could be replaced with less expensive pieces (almost everything under Structure is cheaper than decorative). And look for places where you used multiple pieces where fewer or even one might do, like small blocks next to each other or stacked on top of each other. Generally speaking, budget conservation is about always finding the least expensive way to do everything you want to do.
Try to avoid using Decorative items or Buildings. If you look at the preview of ArkAngel is my in my sig, its still had about half its budget left at that point in development.
I agree with the other two, but only to a certain extent, decorative pieces and even buildings can be cheaper or more efficiant in their own way. sometimes a decorative peice can take the place of 5 normal pieces. I seem to have more trouble with the item limits themselves and If one decorative piece has saved a few blocks or other pieces this lets me use them elsewhere. To be honest you will really have to go through your map a few times changing bits here and there, and seeing what works best for you
