Hello my friends, since I have only posted one map, which was over a year ago, I will re-introduce myself. I have been stalking the most fabulous forging site on the web, Forge Hub for quite some time. Over 2 years to be exact. I was an expert in Halo 3 game play and was a very knowing player in all game types as well. I have seen why certain maps are successful and the one that are not. Although my Halo 3 forge career was very small, I personally tested over 100 maps so far(Utah Mambo by MickRaider and Sentinel by Victoriouz are the best IMO). I know what it takes to have a very well successful, flowing map that is friendly to all players. With that being said, I do not know the Halo:Reach spawn system at all! That is practically due to my lack of Reach playing time. Helo-Centric, the map I present you today, has little testing time due to my huge falter in patience, and I fell out of love with my design mid-way through. Originally, I did not think the space I was forging in was so big! But I told myself to go with it and I did, partially do to wanting to get a mark on Forge Hub at the beginning of Reach. There is some frame-rate issues in the middle and also in the workplace. So I ask you, be nice to me about game play and frame-rate, I lost vision and lost interest in completing the map. Helo-Centric is an asymmetrical Big-Team-Battle map with a balanced variety of weapons. It has a Utah Mambo(I'm obbsesed) type shape to it, and a Workplace Bravo inspiration in the big side building. I tried to not overuse any specific objects, thus I almost used all of the objects(excluding buildings). Slayer DMR's is a HUGE recommendation. "!!!" if you read all that! I like the design of this map, you used structures in ways that I have not really thought of. As for similarities between this and Utah Mambo, I can see what your talking about (I think) and I would have to agree that gameplay would be rather similar, yet on a larger scale. Your weapon placement reflects your genius on map making and expertise on how a map is supposed to flow, nice job. I can't get on my Xbox atm, but I will walk around in this as soon as I get a chance to.
Thank you for your kind words. The Utah Mambo thing was more of an inspiration with the base near the cave, unfortunately I ran out of objects to make it bigger. I was to lazy to fix it. I must warn you, game play is not the greatest, I only ran 4 games on it and slightly altered the spawns. Thank you for your great review!
