Slope A Map Made by BT1988 Supported Gametypes: FFA Slayer, Team Slayer (up to 8 players), Oddball, King of the Hill, Infection Map Description Slope is a semi-symmetrical, multileveled map centered around a giant slide extending from the third floor to the ground floor. The slide, which is made of flipped staircases, can function as a means for player transportation, or as a means of attack, as players will undoubtedly make use of the power drainer at the top of the slide to take care of opponents on the ground floor. The map uses a very standard weapon set, focusing around the shotgun on the ground floor, a sniper on the top level, and, hidden behind the slide, an energy sword, as well as battle rifles, duals, and a brute shot; the equipment includes a bubble shield found on the second level, a gravity lift on the ground floor (a slide-climbing tool for those daring enough to try it), as well as the aforementioned power drainer at the top of the slide. Slope works best for smaller parties, usually between 2 and 8 players, and Slayer gametypes, though Oddball, King of the Hill, and Infection also play well; due to a lack of bases and true symmetry, CTF and Assault gametypes don't fit into the scheme of Slope. _________________________________________________ An Overview of Slope The Slide A Look at the Levels of Slope The Prize Behind the Slide... _________________________________________________ This is the first of (hopefully) many posted maps by me, so please leave feedbacks so that I can make the best maps possible. ok, your screes don't seem to be working, bungie don't seem to like people copying screens from their site so to embed them here is what you must do: 1st got to bungie on your service record, double click on your pics and then save the larger image. 2nd go to an image hosting website such as Tinypic then upload your images. 3rd copy and paste the code that is titled IMG Code for "Forums & Message Boards" and paste it in your post voila! embedded pics just the way we like 'em.
well photobucket requires an account, and imageshack leaves those annoying tags at the bottom of the images, so i use tinypic.
Well, it all depends on level of dedication. Photobucket takes no time to set up an account, and makes for reliable hosting. I just think it's funny you're downing Imageshack when they host your sig pic.
Thanks, I had tried photobucket and imageshack but neither of them worked liked tinypic. I'll be sure to use it to imbed from now on. Thanks again for the help Snak3. BT1988
Very good for your first map. Not meaning to be mean but I think that slope is a very boring name. It doesn't have an attantion grabbing name. But that in no means reflects on the map itself. It looks like a standard levelled open centre map. Though, it looks a bit small but looks like it could play quite well. This map shows that you understand the basics of interlocking and aesthetics which make great maps. Nice first map, Keep it up.
The map looks good, however I have a few questions. 1. What is the respawn time on the shotty and the sword? 2. Why didn't you make the bridges level with the top of the boxes?
hahahahaha i win! and the map looks very nice, especially for your first one, and purely on a picky aesthetic note, it is definitely not essential, you could interlock the stairs so they are all equally interlocked with then next instead of just interlocking the one on the end.
very nice map , love how its symmetrical eventhough theres hardly any interlocking , the things fit perfectly
Very good. The slope is really just a glorified sheer drop, but i don't care because it makes the map so much more interresting. [also it isnt another chute map] qd. If this is your first map, i wanna see more. Pm me if you make another.
I've downloaded and I think it is good, but could be improved. Firstly, the ramps you go up just after the stairs need to be interlocked to create a more perfect ramp, ensuring ease of mobility. Secondly, there are too many weapons, this is a small map with a shogun, sword, sniper rifle and turret. The basic weapons are also a bit overdone, especially grenades. Good design but could be improved.
This looks really good. I like how you were able to set up a sweet map without merging. There's a cool constructed feel to it. Kudos! Excellent job!
i like your forging skill. this looks like a good map to have some epic battles on. this is a very in teresting map as well ill take a look at this.9/10
