Which game do you think deserves Game Of The Year? This goes across ALL sites, magazines e.t.c. The nominated games are: Call Of Duty: Black Ops Read Dead Redemption Halo Reach God Of War 3 Mass Effect 2 Assassins Creed: Brotherhood Fallout New Vegas Fable 3 Out of all these, in my honest opinion, I think Read Dead Redemption should get it. Ive played all the games on this list, and the only one I havent finished is GOW 3. What do you think should win? Why? And more importantly, what other game do you think should be nominated?
Well, personally you should of just made a Video Game Awards discussion thread, which probably would get a lot more of responses, but it doesn't matter any way, because Spike's Video Game Awards are atrociously trash. I also see you just edited the nominated games. The nominated games for this joke of an awards show was what you originally had it as. To me Black Ops doesn't deserve to make the list because it is just simply a redo of the past CoD's, so even though its sticking to what's right which is good, its still the same as previous for the most part. Haven't played enough of the others (other than Reach of course) to make any comments on them.
Read Dead Redemption is my dark horse favorite but honestly I have to give it to Halo Reach. Halo and Black Ops just tower over the opposition and its kind of hard to see giving it to another game if your talking about the over all best.
I have word from one guy who's dealing with the data for one of these Video Game Awards Sites that Halo: Reach is the favorite for game of the year with Red Dead coming in second and New Vegas coming in behind that. He also mentioned that Black Ops was way far down the line... I was happy to hear that...
From listening to the gaming media, it sounds like Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption are the one's to beat this year. I'm not sure whether or not the VGA's are based on votes, so that could affect the vote seeing as how many more people played Halo and CoD than ME2 and possibly RDR. Also, it's extremely confusing as to why Super Mario Galaxy 2 isn't on the VGA GOTY list. It's the best reviewed game of the year, IIRC.
REACH,REACH,REACH! No matter how much fun I've had playing Black Ops. Reach is teh Game of the Year! Red Dead I found fun. Assassains Creed BH I know is just the same game. Like for Example: Halo 1-ODST, COD 2-Black Ops and Fable I-III. So it doesn't surprise me.
