Genome Created by Ladnil Recommended Players: 6-8 Recommended Gametypes: MLG Variants Do you like fair and balanced games? Are wonderful spawns and perfect flow appealing to you? Have you been searching for the final competitive map to complete your prized collection? Am I asking too many questions to build up hype for this awesome map purposefully? If the answer to any of those questions is "yes" then Genome is the map for you! If my flowering verbal eloquence (often complimented as being “the most pointless banter around”) isn’t enough, just ask those MLG guys. They decided to honor it in their map contest of some sort, and from what I hear that’s a pretty big deal. And, for those of you who dislike MLG, there is even a normal competitive version of the map for your pleasure! Genome is so much more than that too. Boasting twin bridges curving the space in the middle, the map is creative to say the least. Ladnil managed to take the stock Major League Gaming arena layout – famous for two bases in a square platform – and turn it into something unique; much like when a little girl beats up her brother for his ice cream, then combines it with hers for a super-cone. She (Ladnil) already had her ice cream (creativity,) and took her brother’s (MLG’s) ice cream (arena map style) and mashed them together like Hot Wheels. What came out of it? It's about damn time An amazing map that is a step up from an already impressive start. It's no wonder they 'will' picked it for the MLG circuit!
Can it be? A MLG map for Reach? Competitive game play that actually works? Erroneous! Erroneous on both counts!

Thanks for featuring this map, I totally missed it when it was originally posted. The bridges are very unique and it looks like there would be pretty good map flow. I am normally pretty indifferent to MLG but this is definitely worth checking out.

Well this looks pretty sweet. Im gonna go check it out now. But wait, I remember someone saying you can only get features if your are staff or friends with all staff... How can this be? Oh wait, that guy was wrong and a perfectly great map was made by a good forger and it was featured. Gratz Ladnil, more for getting into the MLG circuit if I read correctly.

The map is not on the MLG circuit. However it has recieved the most attention, testing and praise by MLG as of yet. It's chances are pretty good though. Great map, made by a talented forger. Congrats on all your success with this map Ladnil!
This should have been featured awhile ago. One of the first few competitive maps I actually really liked on forgehub. Congrats Ladnil, I hope you can get your map into MLG circuit because I would love to play on it in matchmaking.
an excellent map. I agree with Organite I don't really like playing MLG style gametypes but this plays really well as well as Genetic. Very well done

You guys flipped a couple letters in my name lol (happens all the time) Anyway, THANKS! It's been so long since I posted the map, this is really a huge surprise. I'm gonna get into forge tonight and make Genetic 3.0, so anyone who prefers playing a non-MLG version can enjoy it their way. Right now Genetic is on the uglier version 2.0.

I remember being a tester on the Halo 3 variant before it's release and I enjoyed the map a lot then. I haven't had a game on this one, but it looks good and you've had some great compliments in regards to gameplay. Good job on the Feature Ladnil (Y)
Good to see this up here, it's one of my favorite competitive maps. It's very well designed for balance, with the top pathways giving height advantages but no cover, great lines of sight on the map, good spawns, and so on. The gameplay is great too; I remember realizing that the enemy running the flag was directly below me so I turned around and jumped off the top path to perform a mid-air assassination on him. That definitely won me over So gratz on the feature Ladnil.
