    Trans-Atlantic

    A 14 hour flight...

This is a map I've had for a little while that I've just gotten around to posting. I wanted to try and recreate the Halo 2 feel of a gigantic center structure and an enormous map. I wanted the map to be vehicle based too however, I needed to be able to let foot soldiers have a fighting chance as well. Thus, this was born. This is mainly set up for Team Slayer and Multi/Single flag. Though I think it will work well for one bomb (which it is set up for as well. I think.)

This is an overview of the map looking from blue side. As you can see the map covers the entire area of Montana and Alaska, resulting in an epicly huge, fairly linear map space. This is Trans-Atlantic.

This is Blue's spawn and main base. I let Montana's natural awesomeness create most of the base for me and I just added buildings and cover.

This is the center structure. On the left of the picture, is blue's side, on the right is red's. The center structure is a mirror image of itself. It is identical on both sides, in and out.

This is the center structure from the other side of the map. The right is blue's side and left is red's grav lift to cross the chasm. Each side has a grav lift to help those on foot get across the map quicker. Each side also has a base at the other end of the grav lift to help defend or for the offenders to take and hold.

This is the inside of one half of the center structure.

The center. Notice the area beneath. It is fairly open to allow easier warthog and mongoose traffic through. I don't recommend anyone on foot through there.

This is red side's grav lift base.

    This is inside said base.

This is red side's center base and weak-respawn zone.

This is the cliff side ramp to avoid being out in the open on red side.

An overview of most of red side.

The map from behind red base.

This is my epicly huge map. Please download it, playtest it, dissect it. Whatever. If you are able to play test it, please save the video and send it to me, file recommend it to my Gamertag.

Weapon/vehicle list as far as I can remember off the top of my head:
    4x DMR
    4x Needle Rifle
    2x magnum
    2x sniper rifle
    2x rocket launcher
    2x shotgun
    1x spartan laser
    2x plasma pistol
    1x concussion rifle
    2x needler
    2x rocket hog
    2x standard hog
    2x mongoose
    2x falcon
    2x shade turret

    Known issues:
-Sometimes the weak respawn zone on red side becomes the main respawn zone. I can't figure out what's wrong with it.
-There is one spot near the cliff side base on red side that is too low and sometimes your foot will step into the kill barrier and you keel over dead.
-The grav lifts will sometimes not put you through the shield door but will instead fling your body against the opposite cliff wall, leaving a nice spartan sized smear.
-Some blocks in the center structure do not turn purple or yellow.

If you find anything else that is wrong, please comment. Happy hunting.

Wow, this map looks great, every structure look original, especially red base (I cant think of a use with the staircase), and that middle structure, wow, looks like it came straight out of waterworks.

Overall great map. You got my download.

Thanks, I'm glad you think that. Waterworks has been and always will be (probably, I'm just saying that for dramatic effect.lol.) my favorite multiplayer map to ever come out of a Halo game. Halo 2's maps have been the best by far. EACH ONE had some kind of interactive/ moving/ unique element to it that just made the map what it was. Not to mention they were friggin huge. Not a single Reach map is like that unless you count the elevator in Ivory Tow- I mean Reflection. Again, a Halo 2 map. I try and take elements from Halo 2 for each map I make.
