i was pondering whilst reading Cole Protocol (again) and i had an idea for firefight. towards the end of the book, the Midsummers Night flys to a covie-occupied moon called Meisette (name?). On it theres a base type thing called the Redoubt. MN drops 3 spartans and ODSTs to take out vital parts of the base. this is where reach comes in. spartans are always on the defense, even though they specialise in offense. why not change it round a little. have to spartans try to take something out and have elites defend an objetcive. just a thought
Sounds more like Invasion BUT I see what you mean. The point of firefight is that you have 1 to 4 players fighting off waves of enemies. How would 4 elites survive against wave after wave of spartans?
I'm sure they will have something along the lines of this in Firefight Versus. As for having this in normal firefight... no. It would be dull since there would be Marines and ... Marines, while Coveys have grunts, skirmishers, brutes, elites, etc... all of which are easily distinguishable.
^What he said. Part of the fun of Halo is the easily discernable enemies that all require different strategies to defeat. What's the difference between one Marine and another? Even ODSTs and Spartans are too similair to have the same level of fun while fighting them.
it would need more people then just the four you can get in firefight so it would have to have AI enemies/allies. it could have a totally new style of map built for it, like the some of the halo:ce levels. one minute you underneath and covie ship, next your running and gunning through the inside. it would also open up the possilbility of space themed games as well.
