Basically this is a large, big team battle map that I've made and is incorporated to the landscape pretty well. I've tried to balance the teams rather well and place objects strategically. Since the map is long but not wide ive chosen fewer vehicles than other large maps in an effort to keep more people on the ground. When including vehicles, the one thing you dont want to do is to confine the move ability when traveling between Montana/Alaska. I made a similar map like yours, including a bridge large enough for a tank to turn around. You will want the same for the Mongoose/Warthogs and anything else ya want to add vehicle wise. The map has a great concept, the station in the center almost feels like a small battlefield on its own. I love BTB, I believe it has potential with a few refinements.
hey thanks, yeah I tried many variations of different bridges and ended up with this one. It would be a relatively easy fix, but ill stick with this one for a bit to see what others think or agree. thanks again.
From what I can tell so far the map looks like it has some good potential for big team battles. I like your bridge that is closer to the ocean it is a pretty unique structure but you may want to make more ways across so the bridges aren't camped. This might not be as important in slayer but in objective it is critical. You may also want to make more concrete bases for teams to spawn in or around rather than just a few structures with open areas. As for your post it may be helpful to include a weapon list and a few more pictures. Good first map though, keep it up. Oh and if you need help with invasion you can find an invasion guide HERE
hey guys, i've changed some stuff including the size of the vehicle bridge to a 2x4 (a bit wider) and placed weapons a bit better and other minor adjustments. so if you could give it a run through and just add some comments I'll upload my update. thanks! This covers a mighty large portion of Forgeworld. I'm assuming it'd do no less that 16 players. I hope that players on foot are not left searching forever. I'll try and get some games on it, but with Black Ops out, it's hard to find players.
The overall design is great but it is way to big for even 8v8. I would recommend finding a way to block off portions of the map to contain it in a nice suitable area. One more side note, add some mini bases to your map.
