I was wondering if it was possible to make a infection game-type with the rules of getting to a certain point to win. I wanted to make it campaign style, that you needed to get to the end while avoiding zombies and such and that the game itself would discourage camping as you would need to get to the destination. I thought about using Safe Havens maybe, but is there a way to have the people win when they get to the goal. I still want zombies to infect and add to there numbers as well. I'm also wondering if it's possible for a spawn point to change while time passes within a game. So zombies would be able to spawn the same distance from the humans as they move along the course rather than spawning all the way in the beginning.
Firstly, yeah you can sort of do that by making it an Invasion game type and just changing the elites traits to zombie traits and such. For your second question you can make the spawns place at start no and changing it to x number of seconds so that it spawns later on the game, hope that answerd your question.
Ok, thank you. But by changing it to invasion can I still have Elites "infect" and add killed players to there team? Also with spawns, when I place a spawn point to appear how can I make it so they don't spawn at one of the earlier spawn points?
First, no you can't sadly. Second unless you use the Invasion gametype, you cannot prevent them from spawning in the first location. I haven't tried yet, but maybe adding spawning an object on top of the first spawns will prevent them from spawning there.
Couldn't you try and phase out the object somehow or does putting it to a negative spawn number not do that. i havent tested it so i have no idea if that works, i just assumed it did. You could always make teleporters spawn at the beginning to take you were you need to go or you could do what Hey You said an spawn an item on top of it after a certain time.
I'm not sure if spawn zones ignore the spawn time, but if not you can spawn an anit-spawn zone as time goes on to make certain spawns virtually unusable.
Change it so that there is no way to earn points other than to be in the safe haven, and set the score to one point to win. Therefore, they'll have to run into the safe haven to end the game. Have objects spawn on top of the original spawn points after a certain amount of time. With an object on top of the spawn points the game won't spawn players there if other spawn points are open.
