I need ideas on how to finish up a dome (actually rounded). I have the four cardinal directions and the the immediate corners. I need a way to get a rounded area about a wall - a double wall long.

Also, If you can think of a way to go up about the height of a 5v5 flat block without lifts/mancannons/teleporters, I would appreciate it.

The rotation coordinates would probably do the trick. As for the second question, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. A jump pad, perhaps?

That would work perfectly, if not for vehicle cannon required. Unfortunately all my lifts are going to be needed for my map.

Also, what exactly do you mean by rotation coordinated. Do you know of an easy way to get stuff lined up properly?

When you're holding an object, hit B and select edit coordinates. 3 of the options are:
    Rotate X (Pitch)
    Rotate Y (Yaw)
    Rotate Z (Roll)

You can use these to fine tune the angles for each piece.

As for the jump pad, you could place a couple of one-way shield doors on top of each other to launch you into the air. Give me a second to get a screen shot to show you what I mean.

I know how to do it. Unfortunately, I don't think I will have the resources for that either, which unfortunately means editing my map most likely. A shame, I rather liked the way it was forming.

As for the Dome, I guess I will just have to continue fiddling with settings til I get lucky.

    Thanks.

Maybe you could put a custom power up at the base of this jump. You could set it to increase the jump height/ lower the gravity, and have it last for only one or two seconds. Unfortunately, this would require a specific gametype for the map, and I don't know if that would work for what you're doing. It's not ideal, but it could work.

Possibly. I was having trouble thinking of how to ideally add in a way up anyway, so rethinking it might be best. Thanks for the idea though.

Have you considered making your dome in a buckminster fullerene design? (it's not as hard as it sounds)

    Here's what I mean http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a5/Buckminsterfullerene-2D-skeletal.png

Design it with penagons surrounded by hexagons. That's a good way to get a dome shape.

A way that you could get up the 5x5 block is a -40* rotated Large Brace, great incline when your out of them.

Thanks for the ideas. Both of them sound incredibly useful. And while the dome sounds like it would use a lot of pieces, I will probably try it.
