Hello Forgehub, iRoNy here and back with another...............blah blah blah lolz. Here is a bridge-based map that I finished in Halo 3, but was never released. Luckily I didn't, because I always thought it was a bit too boring and narrow. I tried remaking it, but it ended up staying boring and narrow. Then I got an idea, well it was Nyte's impossible idea (Well at least in Halo 3).

Ok now imagine that but also imagine if that baby grew up to get busy with narrows, and this is pretty much what you get.

This map is a side project at the moment, so I will only be working on it once in a while. But once I'm finished with Project://Eventide 2.0, I will definitely commence some serious forging on it.

    QUESTIONS? COMMENTS?

Seems to be coming along nicely. It's evident which areas were based on and such. The way the central bridge curves is a main attraction to me.

Reminds me of a map I plan to make that's basically a cluster-blam of 6 other maps.

Looks like it needs something (NOT TELEPORTERS) to connect the four corners, otherwise all flow must pass through the middle.

    MAN CANNONS?

    lol@banshee.

but really, I like it, though I do completely agree with pyro6666. All the flow passing through the middle would seriously make one hell of a pile of bodies, especially if the 4 corners all have power weapons.

I could be wrong, too though.

YEah I know lolz. I was planning on maybe putting "elbows" on all four corners, but it might look a little too plain. So I might just put 'em on two corners, and just cook up something else for the other two. That way it could play a little bit like The Pit, as well as the other two maps.

NO my good sir, this map will be independent. If we keep adding maps to the mappack we'll never finish.

Great height variation and I can tell where you implemented some blackout and maybe some Genome? But To be honest I dont really see the pit. This is lookin pretty cool and maybe we could play some games on it soon

the reason you dont see pit is because he is modeling this map after a map he made in H3 and mixing it with a map i couldnt finish in H3 due to having too many items on the map.

My original concept was taking Blackout and mixing it with Pit to make a wonderful MLG map that would have a very unique play style.

His concept was making a bridge based map, like narrows, but with out the curved geometry of narrows. i was going to help him with that project but i couldnt due to the map i was working on.

But he is taking those two maps and making them make love to make an even more unique map in its own right. Although Genome is a great map, i dont think that Irony ment to make it look like Genome.

Ehhhh... The map has a great foundation to it but it looks like its lacking some aesthetics - or something. I see a lot of empty space. I'd add a few cover walls here and there. 2x2 banks are always great, cheap 'decorators' imo - of course w/o cluttering the battleground. Good job none the less. Big fan of symmetry.

That is pretty much as good as any answer I would've come up with. My original idea was to have a map inspired by Narrows, but of course I had to change it up a bit so I could make it an original map. Although it looked great it played like **** due to the fact the it was, well, to narrow. The way I fixed that was by combining it with Nyte's Lockout/Pit hybrid (with his permission of course). Sure it doesn't look like it has any Pit features ATM, but that's only because it is not finished yet. As for it looking like Genome, it is completely unintentional. Ladnil is my friend so I would never want to rip a map off of him.

Yes, it does lack aesthetics ATM, but that's only because I have to have a solid layout before I implement any aesthetics into it. But don't worry, I'm a big fan of aesthetics. So once I'm done with the layout, I will try and make the map look as pretty as possible. Anyways, thank you for the comment.
