Halo: Reach is still in its early phases. As are my forge abilities. I've slowly become acclimated with pieces I like, spawn techniques, and what styles of gameplay work the best. I've had over 20 maps finished at least structurally. 6 remain now: one published (Anamorphic), two still conceptually insufficient for me to publish, and three - the latest three - have demonstrated exceptional promise. These three are not in the slightest similar in terms of design or gameplay, but they each find their own niche. All three possess sufficient aesthetics and optimal gameplay mechanics to sustain custom games that much longer (my main goal nowadays). Vector - Vehicle domination at its finest, players scale a vast valley containing well-spread gameplay and excellent flow. Visionary - A central multileveled house and unique aesthetics set the tone for intense multi team or FFA action. Overload - This tunnel-based symmetrical action is unrivaled for small to medium sized bomb and flag, with a simplistic layout and smooth integration and aesthetics. COMING SOON
I'm really looking forward to these. I've always been a fan of how simple your designs have been and it's nice to see you continuing to forge with a similar style in Reach. Would you mind to notify me when these are posted? Maps can get missed a lot with how many are being posted.
Just from your one screenshot of Overload, I can tell I want to play it. It's something I'd try to make, main focus on try. Very talented work on all the maps.
The maps all look great. it's hard to give feedback from one screenshot each but Vector looks as though it could do with some more "stuff" in the valley to spice it up a little. Colliseum walls look rather boring by themselves.
The maps look well done from the screenshots. and those action shots give me a big urge to play them.... you got my download if i stumble upon these when you post 'em
The overview picture of Visionary has me wanting to play it. I'm a fan of FFA and it looks to have a unique layout.
Thanks. Originally I had big plans for it to support all gametypes, but team gametypes just didn't have the flow I anticipated and I felt it'd work better for FFA.
Wow, all of these look high quality. Each one looks like it supports its own style of gameplay excellently. I'm really looking forward to play Vector.
Thank you. I'm already anticipating criticism on Vector for its vast openness, but maps that open have really good BTB gameplay.
