This is my first map that I was making for forgetacular but fell through because I found out golf balls don't despawn even when set to normal physics. Their vectors are saved, but after rolling through my map they would not respawn back at the top again. However, after finding out that conquest had only 2 minute rounds, I realized the true potential for my abandoned project. Now, instead of needing them to despawn I could just have them not spawn for a certain amount of time (like 60 seconds) then have them spawn and run through the map. This is a conquest map set in an operational factory. Their are two conveyor belts that can be seen in all rooms either through the windows or the middle territory in which you actually cross it. This map is structurally complete, but I have not tested it at all because most of my friends are just waiting for black ops (Idiots.) So as soon as I can get a few sessions together, I'll post it as soon as possible. Red Territory 1: Golf balls roll overhead, stairs have been smoothed Red Territory 2: You can see the convayor belt above, and to the right Doors From Red 2 to Middle Territory: The capture plates are decoration Middle: Golf balls move along the center, creating an interesting hazard Demonstrating the middle Hazard: They can kill you Thanks for the quick read. Lovin' those stairs! The map looks great and the golfball idea is pretty nifty. Send me an inv if you get a testing session going
I'd be willing to help test as well. I'm also in the middle of building a conquest map and it would be great to be able to test a someone else's map so I can see just what is good and bad about a conquest map.
This is so sexy, I'm really excited to see how the golfballs work. Inv me for testing or just post it in the testers guild, link me to it and I will take care of it.
Man this map looks great, and very creative as well. But im pretty sure that your forgetacular map may not be a total fail, because ( I may be wrong on this) but if the golfballs run into a body of water they will respawn same rule goes for the kill ball im pretty sure. And if you need help testing the map I would gladly be of help.
Looks really good, and I'd be more than willing to help test it. Maps with hazardous passing objects always ensure a good time! *starts to nostalgia about Terminal*
