hey guys i was stumped trying to figure this out. how can i make a immovable object (STONES) move? i want to make a sort of landslide happen to reveal a power weapon, for a certain time. but i have tried a bunch of things and cant seem to get the rocks to move. things ive tried... -changing physics to normal, with a 30 sec respawn. and letting go of the object... -placing a wall under the rocks, physics to normal, delete wall...doesnt move, even after being shot at... -done all of the above, but started a new round. and had the rocks no spawn at start. -all of the above, tried using a grav lift to push rocks... -tried using fixed position, start new round, changed to normal, start new round... hmmmmmm? any suggestions or things i haven't tried. thanks guys...
Simply put, immovable objects cannot move. Simple. Even if you put it on normal physics, if it is immovable, it won't...well...move.
yeah i knew that some object are immovable but wasnt sure if the rocks were on that list...are all boxes immovable as well? cause i know in H3 you could launch boxes will grav lifts, like those trash dumps maps...where everything flies at you and you try and dodge them... Scenery stuff and toys are movable, structure stuff isn't. Crates are the closest thing to movable boxes. Building blocks on the other hand cannot move, regardless of physics setting.
You could make it an Invasion game type. Of course, it won't really be a landslide, but you could make it seem like it happened after they captured something. Though I'm sure that's totally not your plan
well i guess truthfully i needed to make a landslide for a mini-game that i thought of last night...i did some searching and i was surprised not to see anything really like this out there yet...strange cause i thought it was a basic idea. the landslide slightly gives away the overall idea...but as soon as i can perfect the right moving objects (poor stones, that would have really been epic if i could have those) ill put this map up in the previews on a side note...i could prolly use the same basic principles as "watch out for falling objects" video
