can someone explain to me the rules regarding making vehicles objectives? I can make a vehicle a koth, but can't seem to make it a bomb (how fun would car bombing be? ) instead a bomb appears under it. is the rule objects have to be volume based to work and objectives that spawn, like bombs and flags, simply appear at the objects location? and if so does that mean i can set a scorpian to spawn bombs and move the scorpian to move the bomb spawn or does it go back to the scorpian's spawn?
you can set a vehicle to spawn bombs and they will spawn where ever the vehicle is, you can also set an ability or weapon to spawn or AS_GOAL, if you set an ability and pick it up the bomb spawns where ever the wearer is
thanks, i did some more expirementing, and there are some rather interesting properties: as_goal makes a vehicle impervious to the bomb, but can still be destroyed, if that happens, the corpse is still the goal, same with as_bomb vehicles, bombs will respawn even on the wrecks also, when the bomb spawns, it takes the vehicles location for its location, it doesn't follow it , but it will drop from air vehicles if respawned mid flight so, now i want to find someone who will help me make and test a map based dropping bombs from indestructable falcons onto enemy tanks where teammates catch them and instantly detonate
You mean like having stockpile flags spawn on falcons and drop onto tanks which are set as the capture points?
possible, i would see that more as banshee warthog personally there seem to be alot of possibilities but i haven't seen anything like this
I think the stockpile falcon/warthog variant would be pretty awesome. You'd just have to make an arena with one way barriers (pointing upwards) half way up the walls preventing the falcons to come below the barrier. There would also need to be a vehicle teleporter below the barrier to catch any falling vehicles (hopefully vehicles without drivers can still be teleported?)
ive been playing about with vehicles as goals/spawners for a while now arming banshee to banshee, goose to hog , armor abilitys and so on.. you will have to watch the shape/hitbox area due to the fact if two goal objects are trying to arm each other with a drive by...and the bomb carrier is within his own goal shape it disables his arming you can download some maps, if you want to pull them apart stuff using abilities multi team & arming from vehicle to vehicle minimum 2 players vehicle stuff Bungie.net : Reach : Player File Sets goals on abilities Bungie.net : Reach : Player File Sets if there was more control over setting the shape/area, it would work better instead of top, bottom, uniform sides it should have been top, bottom, front, back, left, right this would allow you to place the shape/hitbox anywhere on a vehicle, getting rid of most of the problems but its still a blast
:O Awesome idea.. can you have an armour ability as the bomb goal? and then when a player picks up the ability, do they become the bomb goal? That'd be freaking amazing if you could!!!!!
What about the data core in Invasion? Would I be able to spawn it, and have a vehicle like a Banshee or Falcon be the capture point for the core? So that a team could grab the core, run to a Banshee or Falcon, touch it, and capture the core? That would be pretty cool, I hope its possible. It would be a good substitute for the Phantom or Pelican in Forge World, since they didn't make either of those appear in Forge World during Invasion.
yep its just an phase 3, objective goal, as long as you set a shape area on it i think its something like spawn sequence 3 advanced option INV_OBJECTIVE set a shape area on vehicle its been a few weeks since i played about with invasion
i propose we group together to make this happen one problem I've found is that you can only have one stockpile goal
