(Sorry if this is sloppy or there spelling errors and such this is my third time typing this. XD)
Usually when playing a game-type like Assault or Capture the Flag (especially Multi) you play on a relatively large, open map, with the score set to 3-ish.
What I want to know, is if you were to put the flags a lot closer together (but not too close) and increased the score cap (to say, 20) would it create a more frantic, faster atmosphere, and more importantly, still be fun?
When I showed some of my friends this pretty small map I made, and said it was set up for CTF, they got all psycho screaming how it wouldn't work, etc.

Very interesting. It would be hectic, but I'd like to see it in action. There could be some potential. Just how close do you have the two flags?

Pretty close, it takes like 10 second to walk from one flag to the other, but I have space to move the flags either way (closer or further) depending on how testin' goes.

i think 10 second between flag is a bit to close, maybe farther them out a bit.

Well I guess I'm test it out first, then find out what people think.

Putting them not-that-close wouldn't be very radically-different, and thus, not exactly what I'm looking for.

also if its that small of a map make sure there is alot of spawns,

spawn killing + 10 foot flag distance = easy pwnage :)

i think an important part of that would be to ahve like no grenade or real powerful weapons bc then people would jsut drop dead before they can get anywhere.but still it would not be so easy. THink of how CTF on midship went. the flags were practically next door and those turned out to be serious games.

I made a map where the flags are literally 15 feet from each other, but they were 4 stories in the air so when you grabbed it, you had to jump down and climb back up.

Well I tried a game on my map, and it worked surprisingly well, played to 15 on Multi-Flag.

Like I thought, the game was really frantic, but not cheap, because I took furbyxxx's advice and got rid of the planned sword :D.
