I'm making a new infection map based on Pac-Man. I've seen a few other maps with the idea but I just wanted to make one of my own with slightly different rules. The main idea I was riding on was the idea that the 'pacman' would be completely powerless until he picked up a custom powerup (invincible + 200% damage for 15 sec), in which case, just like the game, the zombies would be the ones running from Pac Man.

Having little experience with custom powerups I figured this wouldn't be too hard to do because the options for custom powerups within Forge allowed you to select a team. Now, in testing, I've noticed that both the 'ghosts' and 'pacman' can pickup the powerup, therefore, completely overpowering the 'pacman'. I messed around with game options quite a bit and gave up.

Can a custom powerup be modified to only be accesible by one team? If it's not possible, do you guys have any ideas for an alternative method so that the 'pacman' can have the advantage for a short set of time?

I don't plan on releasing this map or anything since it's not an original idea, I just want to play with my friends. That said, credit will still be given in the description for anyone who is willing to contribute some ideas or help.

Prehaps you could make it so the "Ghosts" cant jump and have the pac-man jump a bit to get the powerup, just my piece of cake. I like cake :)

I'm not overly sure if you can or not?...

If you set the gametype to infection in forge, then check the labels.. If you can change the label to "Team-Only" and then set "Team Specific to blue" or whatever... that might work?

i know that teleporters can be team-specific so i dont see why powerups cant?

but like the guy above said, there is many ways to solve this:
lower jump height would be the easiest
if the team specific powerup doesnt work, you could use a team-specific teleporter to take the pacman into another room that grabs him powerup and then teles him back to the map very quickly
