From Hades was sent up an awful monster's grisly head. 8-16 players.

Medusa is a medium to large size asymmetrical map loosely inspired by maps like Ascension and Lockout. There is a large battelfield on top with plenty of cover and line-of sight, while the catwalks and mancannon room below are great for close quarter and mid-range fighting.

Time was taken to ensure that no parts of the map can be dominated. Multiple access points to all areas and painstaking attention to verticality mean that no one area can be locked down, although a skilled player or team will find plenty of vantage points.

The layout is easy to learn and asthetics were utilized to help ensure players don't get lost, but be careful, the layout of Medusa is also designed to allow players to sneak behind, around, below, or above adversaries allowing them to not only find their way out of a sticky situation, but to also turn the tables with a quick, skilled maneuver.

Medusa supports all major gametypes except for Invasion and Race. It plays well with only two players in a one-on-one match, but really shines and is designed for team play or FFA.

hey stinky earl, told you I'd check out Medusa, and although I only really got a fly through, and it was short (I'll check out more later), my first impressions were that it felt pretty good. Major issue though was framerate drop, and I especially noticed around the large circular ramp as I walked up and around it. It was as if it was trying to load the whole map at once. I'll let you know more as I play with it a bit more.

Thanks. I noticed that too. It only really seems to be an issue in forge though. I've played a few custom games on it and it seems fine.

I liked your other map so I thought I'd give this one a try. Your Gemini remake was beautiful aesthetically, and this map is almost just as good. The layout is sweet. It doesn't look like a very big map, but when you start walking around you get a sort of grand scale from it. A+
