    Hello all,
My first map post and my first real map project. I've always had a thing for ancient Greek architecture so I decided to remake the classic Parthenon...

Unfortunately, materials and budget were running low towards the end so the interior didn't turn out as awesome as I had originally planned. But, I am happy with the outside aesthetics and overall scale.

I did this mainly to get some experience with Forge and, like I said, because I dig the old architecture.

Just for fun, I also created a hidden passageway which leads to the underbelly of the temple and a teleporter that sends you to the roof...

    And now, for some pictures...

I know it would be a lot of work, but if you built it on the actual forgeworld ground then maybe you would have more pieces and more budget? Looks awesome by the way.

Yah man looks crazy. If there is an inside that would be sickkkk. I might just have to download to check this out. Also, I am not sure how you are doing on budget but it may look cooler if you did not use coliseum walls for the roof.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, there is an inside with a statue of Athena (a very basic mockup anyway LOL)

I wish I didn't have to use colosseum walls for the roof but there weren't enough pieces/budget to do it otherwise.

FYI, this thing is HUGE. The pics really don't do it justice.

I had thought about actually putting it on the ground somewhere in forgeworld but the only flat space large enough would be in the Canyon but I didn't want to put it there :p

The original plan was to have steps going all the way down to the water but I seriously overestimated my resources and ran out of pieces to do it!

Nice looking map! Could do with some inside pics... but a good first effort. I would shorten the length making it more playable and freeing up more cash for the interior. Would look more like the Parthenon then too. Good job

    A really well done map...
It did indeed catch my eye.
I like the fact that every detail is in place. The design on the entrance, the triangle roof, the rocks for mountains, the columns, and the steps.

    Grading:
Design- 9.3 The columns don't exactly look accurate, I noticed while taking a closer look.
Originality- 10.0 I've seen landmarks before, but never anything from Greece.
Accuracy- 9.8 The columns are a bit weird like a mentioned. But you got everything else right.
    Appearance- 10.0

    Over all grade:
    10.0

    Well done!

    The actual parthenon:

This. is. epic. You should definitely try and refurbish, kick out what you don't need, and make an interior. Maybe a small statue of Athena? :)

One of the most impressing features of this aesthetic creations is the fact that instead of making a random number of columns, you kept it accurate to the actual Parthenon.
Your forging is clean, and you did a great job reflecting the intended architecture

Sweet. Good idea. I like big and different. I'm with the other who suggest a refurbish job now that you have a some experience with Forge. Don't worry, they always turn out even better with a do over.
