Ok hi, this is my first proper map for Halo: Reach Invasion, and first Forge Hub mao. Following the guidelines from Bungie i have managed to create a 3 tier'd Invasion map Spartans must cross the bridge, down the shields, recover the energy core, and then safely cross back across the bridge to the UNSC base. To stop Spartans going to far into the Elite base, i have put 1-Way barriers between the the bridge and Covenant base, which go down after phase 2 The map is set into the sections. A: UNSC Base B: The bridge itself C: Covenant Base here is a birds-eye view of the map, showing all of the map. Here is the UNSC base The Spartan Spawn point The Covenant base, with the spawners in two hidden round bunkers either side of the bridge The Elite respawn at the back of the Covenant base. With 1-way shields to stop spawn killing Phase 1 in the middle of the bridge Phase 2 toward the Covenant end of the bridge The core inside the main Covenant building at the top of the slope The core destination, at the top of the UNSC base on the landing platform For the UNSC base i have put up 5x5 flat blocks for the wall around the outside, for the Covenant i have put up 1-way shield barriers split up by pillars,to give it a more space-y covenant look. There are weapons and health packs on the level. Cannot remember the specifics, but they are balanced, and no unfair weapon advantages are given (e.g. one team has plasma pistols, and the other fuel rod guns). I do remember, there is a sniper rifle on the UNSC tower, and plasma grenade launcher on the Covenant tower. I hope people enjoy my map, and make sure to play with the custom game mode. Has been play tested by myself and friends, and found nothing unusual.
interesting. I like the idea of the bridge... Like i haven't seen that b4. =) but i like the originality of the designing. I d/l and get back to you.
Its a great concept but from the pictures it looks like it could use more, thats just the vibe I get. How much of a budget do you have left?
I agree that it seems to not use the budget available, but i do like the concept of a single bridge as the means of infiltrating the base. I will d/l and try out the bridge gameplay-wise, and please keep posting coz practice makes perfect
