So can someone teach me a little about the new stuff availible in reach. I know how to forge pretty well, so I know how to build stuff. I'd like to know how to make a map compatible with a game. Id also like to know more about killzones, and "anti",and respond zones. Those types of things.

Can you explain what they mean by "safe haven" for infection? [br][/br]Edited by merge: And I made a griffball map and have everything it has listed except a respond zones.(I have respond points). I'll change it to a zone instead of points and see if it works. Top....
Your name kinda clashes with your skills of forging. All you need to know is in the stickied threads in the forge discussion thread.
Safe Haven A new Infection feature -- think of a combination between King of the Hill and Infection. You can give special traits to humans inside a Haven. The default settings halve humans' damage infliction outside of a Haven, and grant them invincibility inside a Haven. Though Safe Havens can be disabled in an Infection gametype, you must have at least one Haven (INF_HAVEN) on the map for any Infection gametype to work with that map. For Safe Havens to be playable, you must have at least two Havens on the map. Respawn Zone A common mistake is to think that a Respawn Zone allows people to respawn anywhere in the Zone. This is not true. Respawn Zones group Respawn Points, they do not replace them. (This is why nearly every spawn point on, say, Boneyard is Neutral, and yet teams still spawn together -- they are grouped with team-owned, gametype-specific Respawn Zones.) Note that Respawn Zones do not group Initial Spawns. A Neutral Initial Spawn inside a Red Respawn Zone will not act like a Red Initial Spawn. More information on Respawn Zones can be found here. Safe Area A Safe Area is a special kind of level boundary. If there is at least one Safe Area on your map, then anything that isn't inside of a Safe Area will be killed immediately. Objectives that leave a Safe Area respawn immediately. Soft Safe Area Soft Safe Areas are a special kind of Safe Area that give players a ten-second countdown and a "Return To The Battlefield" message when they leave them. If a player remains outside of all Safe Areas on the map when the countdown expires, they die. Kill Area A Kill Area is a special kind of level boundary. Anything that enters a Kill Area dies immediately. Objectives that enter a Kill Area respawn immediately. Soft Kill Area Soft Kill Areas are a special kind of Kill Area that give players a ten-second countdown and a "Return to the Battlefield" message when they enter them. If a player remains in a Soft Kill Area when the countdown expires, they die. And just for the hell of it: Initial Loadout Camera This object controls the camera angle seen at the start of a round. Unfortunately, you can't "preview" it while Forging, making it a pain in the ass to set up.
